Of course this is what you need! Good choice! BTW just do some strokes splashes and washes, scan or photo it and overlay(hardlight) over a SU raw export.

The Blacksmiths Arms, what a great name. I think we should all meet there for a beer. Really enjoyable work.

Love these David, I guess my only crit would be to remove some of the xray lines from the larger white faces of the walls. Nice details too.

Hi Watkins, thanks for these links. Could be a cylindrical projection. If anyone is interested, the model(12MB) can be downloaded at: http://www.speedshare.org/download.php?id=80BFB1D811 Charly 2012 [image: LK4A_2012.jpg]

Its not just the intersections, this is a true boolean editor (with editable, easy to use, topology export). With some editing in SU you may produce some interesting geothetic constructions. Who knows. Its something else too, this little app exports masking seams for ZBrush as well. Meaning that with a few broad strokes you may have excellent results. See here. Of course these are zbrush renders (real time-hi res). [image: 1sfb_met2.jpg] [image: W64v_heavy.jpg]

As far as that glass goes, I have seen real world conditions that, if photographed, you would say that can't be real. But, unless you enjoy the controversy, you could maybe give the glass some thickness and whatever lighting tweaks it would need. That may help. I like the product overall, and the reflections in the glass help the image.

@unknownuser said: IMHO, I'd like to see a little more contrast, and something that always bothers me are "bad tangents" like the background mountain lining up with the slat on the window. I know, it's no big deal, maybe bkgd should be slightly out of focus. very nice oveall. What render are you using? You really saw a detail there, I wouldn't have seen it! But I guess I don't really mind... after all it could happen, couldn't it? For the contrast, I think you are absolutely right, it is kind od low lighted isn t it?Like, more light should come from that window! And the renderer is Vray

Many of Sir James Stirling's designs incorporated large glass areas. This works well in the climate of Britain. You folks are lucky in that you do not have to spend a lot on HVAC/refrigeration, or at least that is what I gather. However, what is not generally reported on is that many great works of architecture leak like a sieve. I personally believe that thermal and moisture control is a vital part of architecture. There are those in denial of this.

Nice model. Lots of detail, but looks very tight. For me, this would be a lot of work over a long time. Show us a smooth view. Are your curved elements sufficiently segmented to render well?

Very cool, I love that canvas look. Do you have a renderer for that, or do you run it through photoshop for the effect?

Simple and nice. I don't like entering from asphalt. Would be a good render.
