It's probably foobar !
Did SketchUp make a .skb backup file in the same folder ?
If so, try to rename with .skp on the end and try opening that.
If it opens it'll be one save behind. Also look for an AutoSave_FileName.skp file and see if that works...
been a while since i've had to resort to using the skb file.
thanks for the suggestion and refreshing my memory!

Can someone help recover a file?
File size is roughly 66mB
When I attempt to open it after an unscheduled system reboot, it says "Unexpected File Format"
I've tried to import the file into a new file and get the same message.
Thoughts?

Field of view camera
i'm not sure if this exist yet, but here is another million dollar idea for someone.
a digital camera with an adjustable field of view that can be set by degree from the camera.
would be handy for a surveillance company.
customer wants to have a CCTV or IP based security system installed in their home or business. A rep from the company visits their location and talks with the customer to get a better idea of their needs and price range. The rep narrows down to a few select cameras and positions for the cameras. Adjust the settings on the digital camera to the field of view to the same as camera option 1,2,3... and snaps a photo from the proposed physical camera mount location.this came to mind after doing a rough model of my home and adjusting the field of view at a few key spots. looked nice and helped narrow down which cameras would be best.

Yeow and wow!
How are you making the more complex curved surfaces?
lots of trial and error!

The bike looks great nice job. Axeonalias how do you suggest adding decals without creating geometry i had this problem a while back. Intersecting geometry leads to other problems notably smoothing etc.
I was having the same problem which is why i created the decal separately.

great model !
Please show wireframe detail or explain the poly decals
I've never been able to get an image map to stay in the correct location, or have the color correct. It's just been easier to create the decal and have the clean edge and colors. Most of the decals, excluding the radiator shrouds, were made flat and then turned or laid to the next flat surface after being broken apart.
The decals on the Radiator shrouds were made with a duplicate of the shroud, sliced, then re-colored. From that point, the position was moved 1/32" from the surface of the shroud and adjusted as needed.
feel free to look around the models i've posted on the warehouse. Over the last year or so, i've gotten a much better grasp of the application.
