Thanks for the insight Roger, i've heard of black & tans. Being an englishman i also know about ratting with terriers they are quite vicous ! As a child i slept with our dog a labrador who instinctively protected me from wasps etc. Now i live in an apartment with 3 cats that's a different story.

I have a second lot next to this house and I was fantasizing about what I could build there. The lot is a flat downhill slope intersected by a long hillock down the center of the lot. The feature is prominent, but still too small to register on Google earth or topo maps. I was outside cutting grass and removing dead branches from my trees when a series of three small helicopters flew over. The were all different colors but the same make. When I went in town I learned this was a small company selling tourist rides at the county fair. The light went on and I realized I could orbit over my house with a camera and run the photo set through 123D Catch. Thirty five dollars would have gotten me only a loop of the fair ground. $70 would have given me 12 minutes and enough range to circle my property twice. Then I decided I would hold off until I could get some geometric panels to to set up some pre-measured ground targets to verify key distances. The targets or "control points" also would make hand stitching easier and more accurate. If all the pilots are still alive the next time there is an event that attracts there flyers I will have my marker panes ready to go.

I'm no architect and I don't (can't) do rendering, but I like it . It wouldn't be my choice for a bathroom in my home, I like warmth and wood and such, but it's nice. As far as realism, some observations - how about someplace to hang some towels beside the sinks, and someplace to put the soap seems like if the mirror was divided and turned into a three (or four) part medicine cabinet-type affair it would provide a lot of storage space for typical bathroom stuff some throw rugs in front of the tub, sinks, toilet, would make it less sterile and more inviting and provide warmth for the tootsies I agree with Liam, the towels are folded too perfectly, they don't look real.

i'm 100% agree with making the interior part ..... yeah , it's a shell .... .. I could be good to have a night render If there were any interior but this project was rendered some hours before deadline .. you know , the designer ( modeler ) was a lazy person ... and the plan was still in designing process at the last moments .. .. and there were no enough time for that part ...

@mitcorb said: Hi, Andrew: This is excellent. You really have mastered the technique. Besides the overall pleasing image, is the incorporation of the geometry beyond in faint sketch style, giving the viewer an idea of the whole form. Thank you, high praise indeed! I was very pleased with the outcome, the tutorial I followed is brilliant and made producing this, frankly, really quite easy.

The model started out with 359,000 edges. I tried using the simplify tool in Artisan and it processed about 1/3rd of the file before choking. Meshlab crashes as soon as I try to open the file. I should have processed the file for mobile phone resolution right from the beginning to start with a smaller file. What I have been doing is identifying key points of the model and ripping out overly complex mesh and replacing it with flat surfaces.

Oh i see hell n back that is a tall order. If its just a coffee table without chairs it's do able. Otherwise both the chairs and table will have to extend. Perhaps telescopically.

Thanks Pilou. I am familiar with those but haven't had time to learn. I had installed Soap Bubble, but forgot about the trial period and so was also unable to learn it. I'll experiment and get familiar with Sandbox and then move to those other tools. I'm not used to being a slow learner but most of it is due to time constraints. I love SketchUp and will continue to learn it and one day master it. The people here have been and continue to be, a huge help. Thank you all.

Dr Strangelove's war room is actually on my list, i have already done some research on it ! It is also by the great designer Ken Adam. Cinematography & 3d rendering are kind of entwined for me, i like to give my images a narrative. These works are just me polishing my portfolio during quiet times , plus i actually enjoy it. Sketchup & Maxwell are my weapons of choice. I actually have something from English Heritage coming next i hope Tadema is watching ! Thanks for the comments guys.
