Ian, what's out of scale? For example the sink you used is by "ceramica Flaminia" (it's called "twin column") and it's, real size, 85 cm x 42,5 cm, the lamp is by "Louis Poulsen" (it's called "artichoke") and has a diameter from 60 to 84 cm. So, as you can see, your image is wrong. From a comparison your tiles are around 40x40 cm with mortars at least of 2 cm. Never seen tiles like that. In comparison with your sink, the books are less than 16 cm tall... And I don't know about so small rectangular tiles as those in your shower. So what's out of scale? Almost all...

I like the designs, but you should start using vray materials to have good looking surfaces. Vray installs quite a lote, and you find a lot more on their site

Dermot, your advise is always appreciated. Have no doubts about that Yeah Val has a great setup with tools and machines for all kinds of things. He is retired now, looking after his rentals and playing golf. The workshop is there mostly for storage and building maintenance but he still likes knocking out bits and pieces. We will have a good laugh putting the Corner Cubby together. There have already been a few lively 'debates' about the best way to put it together already with a few 'fs' flying around We will get there in the end

Nice Has a smooth flow, I like that. Also the fact that you got it down to 3.7mb. However, why don't you show off the interior? You could use a nice slow section cut to do so.

I think the NPR model with PR veggies looks really nice in this image. Wonder if a PR sky would overdo it... Agree on the background trees, there's better alternatives for that. All in all, pretty great image.

Well, you could argue that each step is big enough to serve as a landing, since two feet and a walking cane easily fit on each of them, so old people can take that rest.

you have style, the images look good and you will make an impression I am sure. Just some critism, don't take it personally. You could present this design with more power showing just 2 images that are truly different. Then I feel the arcs landing in the middle of the bridge look dangerous or at least unpractical. I'll have a crack with photoshop and see what I can conjoure up! I'll have a trawl around the library for some books on internal design and lighting techniques - there should be plenty as there is a large design department here at the university! I'm thinking of picking up a copy of twilight render, as I understand it's based on the same underlying technology as podium but has a fair few more options that I can play with and tweak around, it has a very attractive price point too ($59) for an educational licence Now all I need is some time to play with it.

UPDATE: I've done all that my current skill set will allow, so i'm sending it off to a mate for him to put the finishing touches on it, then it can be uploaded. It was modelled from pictures, not plans btw.
