@gaieus said: Those are good materials. Have you installed and are you applying them in Kerkythea? Pete: don't tease him! Yeah, I installed the .map.zip and installed the library, then applied the texture. I guess it's just the settings from more experienced modellers I'd like to know. And Pete: Funnily enough, you are actually dead on! The project is a very small corner lot in Manila, where the client wanted to have two floors of economic programme, then two floors of residential occupation. The total floor area available is very small, compromised further by Filipino building regulations that stipulate a 2 metre setback on the ground floor, and a 1 metre setbak on the first floor. Due to the compromised size, rather than trying to figure out how to separate the two programmes (a gym is now located on the ground floor) - it was much more interesting to literally put the hair dressing/massage/beauty programme alongside the 'internet cafe' as a result of the design process. The building is geared towards economic and social intensity. The facade is wrapped in a chainlink fence, which acts as a safety barrier, allows maximum views and sunlight, and fulfils the client's request for prominent advertising on the corner lot. Fabric adverts are simply wrapped around the facade and cable tied back (I'm a sucker for simple details!). The fence allows plants to grow up it, turning the corner into a sort of green fuzzy screen, punched out by advertising. The barrier also acts as a crucial safety feature, putting a barrier between flying debris in typhoons and residents, an annual occurance. Cheers!

I am affraid there is no magic method! Only training again and again! The other solution is to give your files to some specialists if it's a time's problem! Of course this last solution will be maybe not free Except if you have good specialist friends

Try the Eon forums for a response. They might be able to find the cause of the crash.

From a user's point of view (and grossly generalizing): unbiased renderers have relatively few options and are quite easy to use. Downside: they're slow. biased renderers have many options and are relatively hard to use. Upside: they're fast. Both are quite capable of producing goodlooking results. Cheers, Stinkie, love the hat!! And thanks to you other guys for the input....

Take a look also about this one! A very easy UI! http://www.neuro-systems.com/ a French Company (in English Substance 3D SUBSTANCE is a realtime 3D application for producing photorealistic Evolutionary Art. http://www.neuro-systems.net/documents/substance.html And this evolution one from the above NARS is the acronym of NeuroSystems Augmented Reality Studio. It was designed for designers, architects, photographers, marketing professionals and communication, but also for amateur and professional artists from all over in order to showcase their creations and projects with extraordinary simplicity for imaging software synthesis. With a few clicks, it can transform 3D models (completed or not) accomplished and compelling photorealistic images, adjusted in real time to create a high added value. It can also easily integrate these projects in a real environment from a video source or digital photos thanks to its photorealistic augmented reality technology. Curiously NARS is not on the English Section? less 49 € with VAT ! http://www.neuro-systems.fr/documents/nars.html [flash=420,315:2pfvzqb1]http://www.youtube.com/v/odKePqcfDDE[/flash:2pfvzqb1] [flash=420,315:2pfvzqb1]http://www.youtube.com/v/5csgl4UDbZM[/flash:2pfvzqb1]

@cadvillain said: Thanks for PlayUp Nintari. It is a useful step in my work-flow. A couple of questions for you: Would CryEngine 1 (Far Cry) .cgf export be possible and easy to add to PlayUp? If possible but not easy, could I help to get it implemented in some way? (Research the format specifications, for example) All the best. CV Hey CV, Supporting a new engine is generally not a minor undertaking, so I've made it a point to stick to engines that are free, current and popular. At this point in time, CE1 is now pretty old and not very popular, so it really isn't worth the level of effort it would probably take me to support it. For the sake of experimentation though, you could try to setup the CE2 export settings in PlayUp to point to the CE1 information and see what happens. Why not upgrade to CE2 or CE3? Best, Nintari

I've been using Evernote to capture and organize tips, links, and tutorials that I want to keep. It's great because you can organize notes into different notebooks, and tag your entries for easy searching. Another nice feature is that you can access them from any computer and it automatically syncs. It works great!

Hmm, that is tricky. That's the kind of thing you could fake if you were showing to someone who is not familiar with the room. But if its for the person who sleeps in the room every night, its a bit tougher to fake stuff. But, if you are putting in a large mirrored wall where they have none, they do not know exactly what the reflection should look like. So just getting close should work. to get "close" I think you could stand where the wardrobe is planned to go and take a picture looking back towards the base photo. You will probably need a really wide lens - 18mm or so is my guess. I could be wrong though. If you have various lens options, I'd play around with them. And you will probably have to do some image editing on that image as well. It might need to be blended with the backsides of objects you have rendered or something. In other words, this will be an imperfect science.

thanks you guys. I will try all of these methods. I am sure most of this is just my lack of experience with the program. I think scripting might be a little out of my airspace right now, but I will go thru the tut. You guys are great. Thx, D

Hi, Solo: This is really appreciated. An excellent reference thread to be cited when the questions arise.
