Thanks, JuanVictor. I did indeed end up re-installing, and it seems to have fixed it. What a pain in the booty, though...

Thanks for the quick response Gaieus! I tried your hidden geometry. And I think I just messed up on building it. Must be my latches are not made right because I painted them white and now the entire door is a solid white which is what i wanted in the first place. But as soon as I paint the latches grey it makes those lines. So I figure ill remake the latch and try again to see if it does the same thing. Really appreciate the fast response! ~Rsdevour

There's no harm in the license. After 8 hours of use it will downgrade to the free version but once you decide to purchase a license, you can activate the pro functions.

xilix, 3dmax is a rendering program. Group all the first floor walls: select all the lines and planes of the walls. You might do this by taking a low-angle view and selecting all at once. Then choose the menu item edit / make group. Then you can draw on top of the walls and the wall lines won't stick to the plane you draw. But there is more to making a second story and ending up with walls free of lines inside and out, and a ceiling plane on the first level which is joined to the walls below. I was hoping someone more experienced would explain the most efficient process of getting to the second story. Peter

That is the most recent. Could you upload the model so we can just look at it? Chris

You don't need to place background images on a rectangle. You can just import them as images, not textures. That way, they won't have any edges unless you explode them...so there's no need to hide them

We are unlikely to see transparent images casting shadows in SU. SU's shadows are vector based, therefore they only sense actual geometry. They are completely blind to whether a pixel on an image map is transparent or not. Of course Google may be able to figure a way, but I'm not holding my breath

@unknownuser said: 800x800....max 256k What Bruce says. @remus said: I tihnk if you link with the [img] tage the limit is dynamic (related to your screen size), it can be useful when you want to include larger pics in your posts. T embed an image, you need to upload it to some external image hosting sites however, somehow like this: and the result is this: [image: Gai.jpg] (it's actually a welcomepicture BTW )

I was only going to but due to the lack of time I couldn't. I believe Jean made one - he was the last of the four of us to present here.

HI Tango356 Do you mean the lines that limit interior volumes, when watching outside... probably the use of the X-ray mode may help you, when drawing, surfaces are lighter textured, in order to see throw... If not, as far as I know, Su doesn't allow different thickness for drawing lines when you sketch. Rendering programs are aimed for such a purpose. MALAISE
