RE: Render Quality/ Sharpness
Yeah, there is no way thats a 8000 pixel image. Your demo limit is only rendering at 600.

RE: Rendering double glazing Partition wall
You have USE COLOR AS TRANSPARENCY ticked on. Turn that off. I would also load a glass vismat from the Chaos site, something with reflection and refraction.

RE: Only the selected objects to render
1.6 was a beta and that is over now. We are now on 2.0 and this was a bug that was fixed.

RE: Why the ruddy Dongle?
I dont think its all that big of a deal either. Its made licensing much less of a pain in the butt too.

RE: Grass shader
If you have 2.0 I would use proxies and stay clear of displ grass.

RE: PLEASE HELP! render interior elevation section
What version of V-Ray? Only the latest 2.0 will render a pure elevation. One trick is to setup a perspective with a field of view set to 1 and that should do the trick.

RE: Google SketchUp vs. 3dsMax
What's a better tool, the pencil or the pen?
Pencil - comes with built in eraser, can create soft shading, needs to be sharpened often...
Pen - smooth dark lines, no need to sharpen, somewhat permanent...
My point is you can make great images using a turd and a paper bag if you have the most important thing... TALENT.

RE: HELP! "Unable to edit light - no light asset was provided"
I have 2.00_24622 because I have nightly access and I just got the error. And I will add this, when I deleted the component and added a brand new omni light, it gave me the same error. I should note that this light is nested withing another component, within a group, so it is buried in there a bit.

RE: HELP! "Unable to edit light - no light asset was provided"
This is a bug when lights are made into or placed into components. Bug report this please.

RE: Instances of a vray rectangular light
Seems that Andy is correct, you can just right click it and make it a component. Glad to see this is working now.

RE: Vray & Proper Animation Plug In
Im not sure if we have this ability yet, although Batch render does render a series of scene tabs, but I am not sure SketchUp is the tool to do this type of animation.

RE: [Plugin Library] LibFredo6 - v15.6b - 02 Dec 25
If I open a new clean copy of SketchUp, everything loads fine. If I open a file directly from Windows Explorer, I get this error, which in turn prevents all Fredo plugins from opening.

RE: Instances of a vray rectangular light
You need to do this with all lights that you make into components and I find if you group it, then make it into a component, the light becomes broken.
-
RE: Instances of a vray rectangular light
If you have the latest 2.0 release it should work, but there has been bugs with this. Typically, I draw a small line from the edge of the light and then component those 2 things. Most of the time this works.

RE: 360 VR questions
Pixero, can you show us a screenshot of your Pano2VR Settings?

RE: 360 VR questions
I am also working on a project using Pano2VR and I am curious as to what resolution you render your final at and what settings you use in Pano2VR so that it loads so quickly but at such a sharp quality. Can you share a screenshot?

RE: 360 VR questions
Slightly off topic, Pixero, which engine did you use to render those scenes? They are really nicely done!
