So my Opel Combo rate must be low! Can I get my avatar in 1mx1m?
Really lovely work though. So unique and personal.

Epic makes such good acquisitions then immediately lowers prices. Reality Capture is free is you are under 1mil in revenue. It's safe to say that's the majority of the users.
The have repeated this price lowering for every acquisition. They'll be #1 player in visualisation eventually. I wouldn't be surprised if they launched a modelling environment at some point too.
The model is linked at the top of his post called WEHS - 3d Brain.skp
The mesh is a mess to be honest and there is a missing info on what it is you want to do other than slice.
You would lots of time hours trying to fix things and probably less time searching the web for a better model.
The app you use is simply your instrument. Find the one you like to play.
SketchUp can't be Rhino-esque but Rhino can add SketchUp like vibes. You get alot more bang for your buck out of Rhino and its also a perpetual license.
@Box Wow! That's amazing.
How do you price a job? Per m/sq
There's no fear your skill can be replaced by AI. Are you passing on the skill to an apprentice? We've a few people here still doing it here.
Our school, ran by the christian brotherhood, had Harry Clarke panels which were later auctioned off. But his work is still all over the country.
The caustics in the 3rd to last image is glorious. Thanks for sharing those. Mind blowingly good. Is the sketch yours too or is it someone elses concept?
FreeCAD - https://www.freecad.org/features.php
Docs are lacking so its a bit hard to begin with but might be suited to your needs
I was fortunate enough to test this prior to release. For small teams its gamechanger. Syncing changes to a model is effortless.
How it handles pushing notifications amongst the team is cleverly handled so every one is in the loop. Even for client work where your client also uses SketchUp it's a great way to share progress and collaborate.
Thanks Fredo

I am wondering is there any way to save the materials I make, locally?

Quick test to see if accurate tidal height changes would be possible with Animator
If anybody wishes to come and visit I will buy you a beer
Great, can you book the flights. I'll be there for Friday
Try Tools > Sandbox > Smoove on a subdivided plane.

Or extensions like FredoSketch or Vertex Tools allow for a more precise manipulation.
Add thickness later

@Rich-O-Brien thanks, and were exactly they will be saved?
I will share my screen, as it is slightly different.
Materials are saved here...
C:\Users\SomeName\AppData\Roaming\Rayscaper\UserAssets
To import materials you use this menu...

You answered your own question with how you intend to do it.
I just traced the image and used Vertex Tools 2 here and there.
It’s still pretty rough so I’ll just see where it goes.
Storms are rough enough. Can't imagine what its like when you live on a boat on the coast.
Stay safe bud. Some serious wind speeds are showing up on Ventusky

@Jerome_971 Ok, so the first 2 errors are the icon JS which can be resolved if we host icons on our servers. The disadvantage to this is all users would experience slower loading times.
What are your thoughts on fixing it for users on a seven year old version of SketchUp?
We will take a look and see if we can come up with a fix. But time marches on and the sun is setting for SketchUp Make users and we have zero control over that aspect I'm afraid.
OK, there's a bug with PNGs with transparency that cause glowing fringes.
Thomas is aware so expect a fix soon for that glow
Excellence is not an act, but a habit.
FreeCAD 1.0 released with the Arch and BIM Workbenches now merged. Still no SKP import support but DAE is supported.
FreeCAD, the open source 3D parametric modeler

I've used it in the past for FEM analysis and found it pretty good.
Can't complain at the price either....free
