    • RE: Mysterious clipping plane

It's kind of self intuitive; you mess around with a miss-behaving model...
Then when you start to write out the symptoms or the question the problem becomes apparent.
or when you get away from the job (writing your scenario) for a moment and start again, you run right into the answer and answer it yourself. So I found the answer right after making the post.
      See Ya.

    • Mysterious clipping plane

I have a clipping plane that resembles a section plane by what it does to a model , this one remains at the same plane as my monitor screen, and when I rotate my model and the model intersects this plane it cuts the model as if a section is being cut. It is invisible and the styles settings havent made it go away.

I have seen similar things like this and have been able to get rid of it , but this one persists. I have also read about these things but can't find pertinent info.

I have saved as and toggled through styles, any other techniques to get rid of this pest?
      Thanks

Not to worry folks, It is the parallel projection that needs to be changed to perspective.

you know Daniel, you just nailed it...there is so much talent here...I'm stuck in my proverbial cube...would love to be exposed to higher levels of camaraderie, excellence, and work that makes you want to get it done or do it the best it can be...and the strengths and skills portrayed om this forum help me to see where I want to go, and you know what else? I would also love to get to every training class offered... to be the best working my software, but there simply is not enough time. The help you guys give me everyday is priceless, All these signatures of excellence are helping me accomplish better work on each project . For this I am very grateful.

It is a carbon copy of AutoCAD

      Jon,
Do you know which version of acad it mimics? amd what the sale price is? and is that a form letter at the top of this post? or did you write it? Please explain why you thought it was a free version (license). Thanks

      Edit:
There are companies that put out free versions of their software; we all know that, besides the obvious big G, there is AVG, which if you know what to type in the search bar will give you the free version. If you dont then it is hard to find. That is why I ask.

holy @#$& Batman! that's what I call a HOUSE. Nice (doesn't describe it)

I have to ask: Do you organize a project that big in many files or do you keep it all in one, or a combination of both methods? The work you put into that is really inspiring. The mural on the clg and the trims? Thats just Sic.

    • RE: Where do you work?

well... my office is now at the house...after i bought my laptop I went to the office mostly for scheduled appointments. It felt silly to get up early, start working, and after the kids were at school, shutdown and move it all to the office just to have to move it again in 7 hours, I made myself at least an hour a day by staying where my laptop was plugged in. All the equipment at the office was just waiting for a job to be finished.. that is when I would camp out for a day or so plotting and printing. What a drag!...The laptop allowed me to camp out in the back store room of my garage and work, until I had an appointmet... until my daughter got to big to live at home and vacated her bedroom! Her room made the perfect office. North light, ground floor, front door, in town location, and big enough for my work station setup.
So for the past 6 months I have been trying out the home office thing. Sent all the phones to my cell, hired a print service, moved the machines to the garage, and now I can work 24/7, I am so glad to be out of the office! The internet has really changed the way I do business. Funny thing is...I work more now and have more contracts than I ever did with a main street "location" and shingle. I kind of disappeared from the radar... go figure..

      Craig,
It is really good to have you back, I appreciate the perspective you give us, and the knowledge that the team is working on the behalf of the users. I think there are many that feel the machine is getting too bigand uncontrolled, I'm real glad to have found SU.

I have a bear and her cub in my yard checking out the trashcan, my dog is going ape, think I'll go hook up the hose...welcome back

John, do you have kids? you figure out ways to accomplish this, whether its censorship, tracking, sitting with them, or keystroke logging, no price is too high to protect your kids.

Modelhead, It is good to see a man with convictions stand up for them. Kudos...

I for one am not, and do not have time to surf you tube, I know there is a lot of junk on the internet, and in its simplest form, the entitys that condone (interpret advertise) (whether voluntarily or not) should be the first to suffer. If you guys actually want to strike hard, use the tools you have at hand to advise the rest of the world of the low standards these corporations have. Let the advertisers know about their poor choices, and let them worry about the bad content. Hopefully lack of ads on google will wake up the G.

I was going to start another thread about this but it this seems as good a place as any.

I hawk this site for tips and tricks to make SU work better for me when I produce drawings...at work...for money...When I sign on Sketchucation I am finding a bunch of regulars, who apparently live here and really don't have to work too hard. I can appreciate a good joke thread, and political etc debate, but I would hope you guys remember this is not the www, this is Coen's site, and he has hosted this thousand plus mob, for, what I think was anticipated as, a complementing ingredient to the BUSINESS he was already engaged in. If this were my business I would equate the irreverence and indiscretionate hubbub being posted akin to trying too make a living in a BK cafeteria.

Ive got to get back to work, there are some great folks hanging around here and I appreciate their hard work and valuable opinions, But this house needs to stay clean... signed off

OK METAL HEADS! I got the best lost in your work what happened to my day tunes....Ready for this?
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! That's right......I experiment with clients. what plays during the meetings seems to have a big effect on the meeting and what is accomplished. Sometimes the clients are more cooperative too. Another great guitar cd I have is Norman Kraft he is a smooth classical Italian acoustic player.

you have a style that is very distinctive, and natural. I like it. I translated the text, and it was very wordy in Englsh, but a good pitch for SU!
