The leader line for the enlarged detail stops at the dashed lines. They made the step continue through.

They innovated at site!

What particularly struck me was they constructed the detail call-out, though the circle was obviously approximated. Moral of the story: never place your detail call-outs on top of building elements, put it in empty space!!

I am no designer I'll leave it to most of you. I personally like the detail symbol on the steps! The fabricator says... "It looks just like your drawing. Pay up.

The "trouble.jpg" reminds me of a paint fight I had with my older brother, when we were around 9, 10 years old.

My dad had a little too much confidence in us and gave us the task of painting the inside of a closet that couldn't have been more than 8 sf in size. Harmless, so he thought.

He left us alone while he went down to the basement workshop. There we were, working side by side on the same wall, as a team, when my older brother, of course, didn't cut me any slack when my brush went too far on the stroke and onto his hand. Well one thing led to another and we proceeded to exhange paint strokes on each other until we were both covered with white, oil-based paint from head to toe. Yes, our hair was brilliant white also. It was hilarious, that is until the paint started to burn our eyes. In a panic and crying, we rushed down to the basement to tell dad, and as my dad tells it, we looked like ghosts in the dark summer sky. He just about fainted.

All ended well with a nice turpentine/water bath, uh, before mom got home of course.
