Man...5 hours, what are you exploding? that looks like a GE shot. Are you adding topo to GE, how is that done.

    • Push pull circles with faces 111707

I am working on drawing a hand rail, and it has a 2" dia. profile for the grip.
Question is: when i push pull or follow me this round profile, some sections show the circles facets and some show smooth without the circles edge showing. How do I make it consistent? without hiding all those lines, of course..
      Thanks,
      Hank

I like it when I can answer my own inquiry. The circles that extrude smooth are still intact circles. The circles that extrude with facets showing are circles made of line segments (exploded circles).

      kris,
Your tuts are good:You have heard the thing about give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach him to fish.... judging from the muscle in your template I think you could write a great tut on template building that would power the lessons in push/pull walls and roofs even faster and farther. Keep up the good work! thanks!

      hello Kris,
back to the template again, I have been using your template on most new starts, mostly because I think it works different than the stock start file; probably the most noticeable difference is the higher number of degree divisions (minutes?) on the protractor from the vs. 6 stock protractor. Is that protractor an entity from previous versions or is there a settings for fine tuning your system?
      Thanks for your time.

    • RE: A Pencil Style for ya...

      Ross,
I tried out your style on a sketchy I sent out this morning. It looked pretty good. You have better success getting all the lines to show in your drawings when you use sketchy style. I tend to loose the lines in shadowed corners, like under eaves where they attach to a wall...mostly inside corner stuff, any tips?

thanks for the style, and nice French Quarter front!

    • Red X over Viewport

Layout is blanking out on me. The view port is opaqueing over and getting a red x from corner to corner of the viewport. I first thought it was because i had doubled up on the same viewport being open twice; but that wasnt it. After reboot I had satisfactory results for about 30 min of zooming rotating panning etc before it happened again.
      any thoughts?
      TIA

Coen, If you think #2 is best, then I think you are right. And don't spend any time second guessing or blaming yourself. Sorry you are going through this. I am sure everyday news and posts will fall right back into place.

I installed the new SU release yesterday. And today, each boot of SU I get this message.

      Error Loading File CDoc_loader.rb
      undefined method `file_loaded' for main:Object

I dont know which ruby this goes with. and I think I need to repair or replace it. Where does it come from?
