RE: Joke time in the new bar!Posted: Wed May 16, 2007 2:02 pm
A man boarded an airplane and took his seat.
As he settled in, he glanced up and saw the most beautiful woman boarding the plane.
He soon realized she was heading straight towards his seat. As fate would have it, she took the seat right beside his.
Eager to strike up a conversation he blurted out, "Business trip or pleasure?"
She turned, smiled and said, "Business. I'm going to the Annual Nymphomaniacs of America Convention in Boston ."
He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen sitting next to him, and she was going to a meeting of nymphomaniacs.
Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked, "What's your business role at this convention?"
"Lecturer," she responded. "I use information that I have learned from my personal experiences to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality."
"Really?" he said. "And what kind of myths are there?"
"Well," she explained, "one popular myth is that African-American men are the most well-endowed of all men, when in fact it is the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait.
Another popular myth is that Frenchmen are the best lovers when actually it is men of Jewish descent who are the best.
I have also discovered that the lover with absolutely the best stamina is the Southern Redneck."
Suddenly the woman became a little uncomfortable and blushed. "I'm sorry,"
she said, "I shouldn't really be discussing all of this with you. I don't even know your name."
"Tonto," the man said, "Tonto Goldstein, but my friends call me Bubba." -

RE: Printing PDF -to dark ?
I haven't tried to print anything directly to PDF with shadows on: I an usually trying to clean it up better to print. If I wanted to print shadows I would export to 2D (jpg) with a style I wanted and PDF the .jpg. Maybe this will help.

RE: Groups and Components different bounding box colors
I too can see merit in this idea.
I was about to post something similiar about SU flagging you when you are in tight areas working and inadvertantly select and delete some common entity to a major component elsewhere in the model, that when selected you have no idea the major was affected until you zoom extents again and a major partof your model is missing and 100 undos wont bring it back.I think various colored bounding boxes might help the situation.
GREAT idea Coen! -

RE: A fun little game.
granted, and with new technology it is now the size of your fingernail and you have to have a flat surface to project the image on to "touch Screen", most of the time this is on your girls...um...back.
I wish I had an "Draw Auto House" button on my computer.

No Problem, granted, but the more you learn the more complicated things become.I wish...I played guitar in a SOUTHERN ROCK band, like ZZ top, Humble Pie, or Thin lizzy,

RE: Great source for rug images
But really folks, look at the advertising they just received by sketchy's referral.
Now if we put a nice persian in a mega million residence, and the lady thinks she want one for her master suite...she want to know where that rug came from and of course you set her up shopping on the site you decorated her house with.... and she tells her friends...I see it as win/win... -

RE: Section Cut Width
OK cool, i hope this will help with some line weight issues. occasionally I get a section cut that has real heavy lines when printed. Must be one of the styles with a high value. But if I do a section cut with a high value and group a section slice and overlay it, I should get a strong outline where needed.
Thanksalot

RE: Layout and Text
Somehow I lost this thread,
Barry, your suggestion is basically what I am having to do. Substitute SU text with Layout, however Charlie's observation is pertinent also, the real life situation is text looks funky so I make a pdf to see how it may look on paper. Plot the one that looks OK, Figure out it wasnt either showing, or is too faint. I keep trying to realize WYSINWYG sometimes. I would post the errant drawing but i worked through it. I have another one I will be printing very soon. and I wll be trying to duplicate the condition and keep something to show. -
RE: Winter Winter Go Away...

Make_component_bug
I think there is a fault in the Make Component command. 9 out of 10 times when I make a 4 line rectangle and make that box a component, in the proximity of other geometry (touching even just one edge) i have to erase a line to be able to edit the new component, Then i have to retrace an edge to skin the rectangle again. otherwise I just left click and right click on the edge and the MAKE component menu keeps coming up. This shows up in other areas also. When you have a wall face, and draw a window or door on the face of the wall, no matter how you select the lines to make the component, there are lines under/over the made component that must be dealt with first.
It behaves as if you did an Intersect With command and it intersects screen space and makes entities,

RE: Macrobiotic Diet
Here is my version of good oatmeal.
Quaker Oats, the kind you cook 5 minutes on a stove. Serving size; well... according to Quaker the more the better, and my bowls are pretty large, so I would guess I'm talking about 1.5 servings.
Cook your oats...
Put in a bowl.....
Add 1/2 tblspoon of Jiff.....That's peanut butter for all you Europeans...
sugar to taste......
Watch out ...it's addicting.
