RE: Reed-texturethe displacement is working but not like I want it to work.... but that can be me though because I'm only using vfsu for a few months now. I'll try to create one myself. Oh and vfsu doesn't support normal maps (Jackson told me). remon_v

RE: Reed-texturehey very nice! I downloaded the texture from cgtextures.com for free. Only it wasn't tileable and the lighting wasn't correct so I corrected it. Dunno if that's what's you're asking. I'm going to try the texture now and I'll show you the result. Only where should I put the normal map? remon_v

Reed-textureI made this reed texture I want to use in my renders (vray for su) and share with you guys.
I got it from cgtextures.com but I made it tileable.
The Second thing is I don't have a displacement map for it and I'm not really good with it.
It would be nice if anyone can create it and put it here aswell as I don't know how I would create one for this texture.here it is: cheers

RE: Modelling without plugins@edson said: in the light of this topic i think it could be a good initiative to put together a list of tutorials on how to model complex geometric shapes/objetcs with straight sketchup tools. i am sure there are many on the web: it would just be a matter of putting them together. what do you think about this? That would be great... I'm modeling with sketchup for a few months now. I mainly do "simple" arch vis, but I really would like to get to know complex modeling

RE: [Plugin] UV Toolkithey guys... I see some arch texturing here. I subdivided my arch in faces and now I want to texture my arch. I could do it manually by rotating the texture but maybe there's an easier way? thnx in advance

RE: Some new Renders..I'm trying to get a nice reed texture like yours in the model, so I downloaded it from cgtextures. here's a quick try

RE: V-ray - creating a volumeIt's an indoor swimming pool water.. I tried fog with different multipliers but I hardly see any difference. For pool I don't need fog? and I don't need a volume either for a good water effect?
thnx for the reply and also on asgvis website.

RE: V-ray - creating a volumeI mean if u make a cubic form it not a volume but build out of faces. So what I want to do is applying fog to my water so if u look through the water can see a a blueish effect. I don't know what version I'm using I can't have a look because I'm not home. thnx for the reply

V-ray - creating a volumeHi, is it possible to create a volume in sketchup? I need for vfSU.... I want to apply fog to my water material. If it's not possible is there a plugin to create volumes? thanks in advance remon_v
