Hi Guys,
Thanks for your comments. The product will be for a company who sell tire repair kits to the trade. I'm still waiting on a lot more info to come through at the moment so I'm a bit stuck now!
Cheers,
Puck

Comments/advice always welcome.

It would be nice if their server didn't make me feel like I was on 56k again. The speed it goes at the moment is sooooooooooooooo slow.
Hi Guys,
I've just come across some videos on youtube of Antics3D doing some pretty impressive things with some imported models from Sketchup. Has anyone used this software at all? Any comments?

Great work Fred. I particularly like the back wall. Did you simply use a bump map texture on a flat surface?
Hi Guys,
I've just got the FFD plugin and want to know how to use it properly. Does anyone have any links to videos or other training resources?
Thanks as always
Ahhhhhhh now it makes sense. Thank you!
Sorry to sound like a fool but what are DCs?
I'm also not sure where to find the page you mentioned as I only have access to online help, I'm not sure which page to look for on there?
Also, does sketchup 6 have reporting capabilities built in? I thought that was only in version 7.
Thanks for the reply
Hi Guys,
I work for an aluminium manufacture and often we design new projects in Sketchup because it is so rapid to do so. We always quote from the drawings but it would be great if there was some way of taking our model and then generate a report that tells us how many of each profile was used and what length they were. We can then use that parts list and take it straight to the workshop. I know there are ones out there for wood but not sure about this application. Does anyone know of a plugin like this at all?
Thanks in adavnace
Getting there..............
I like the clay look too but I need to show the colours on this one
Hi Guys,
My first gallery post. Comments welcome.
Sketchup time around 1.5 hours
Rendered in Podium 1.6
The concept is in very early phase of design so we have colour coded it to match a flat hand drawing, hence the rather extreme colours!
You guys are great. Thank you so much. I've got it cracked now (I won't say who's method I used in case I upset anyone, but you all helped!)
Thanks again
Hi everyone,
If anyone has any idea how to fill the gap I have created here I'd love to know a technique to do it. The counter should have a rounded edge on the corner but I just can't think of a way to do it at all.
If anyone out there would be kind enough to advise that would help me a lot with this project. I'm not asking for someone to do it for me, just a method to get it done correctly.
Thanks in advance.
