I am doing only two buildings in my free time. Because I like to investigate lost pdfs with archeological information, or examining old photos of destroyed munuments.

You can see one of them in this forum. I have to upload new renders, but I am not working in it now.

      Great link, Thanks!

If you have cojones, do one of that buildings.

Si tienes cojones, haz uno de esos edificios (No te preocupes por lo de "cojones", parece que es la palabra de moda en idioma inglΓ©s y la usan sin saber lo que realmente significa πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜† )

Regarding my english I know that is limited, but I can be understood. I just started to write in english... and you see πŸ˜› Anyway I use sometimes wordreference http://www.wordreference.com/es/ to look for english expressions. I am learning, while I am writting.

    • RE: Buildings

There are other very beautiful places. Toledo or Cordoba are very touristic ones. Salamanca too.

But you have a lot of very hidden treasures, medieval towns without tourists, even Caceres has a medieval city and is not a very touristic one. In the province of Jaen, Ubeda and Baeza (I prefer Baeza).

The Royal Palaces of Spain in Madrid and Segovia have the original furniture of XVIII - XIX century.

Regarding my english, I know that is limited but I don't use Google translator to be sure that I have written everything right. Anyway feel free to correct my english if you see something wrong πŸ˜‰

If you want a lot of projects of never made royal palaces, projects of buildings of the XIX and XX century and built ones, you can find a lot of documentation here:

I have found a very good exporter to .lwo:

      http://www.flay.com/GetDetail.cfm?ID=2362

In fact, I have finally exported to Blender my more complex model. 😍

Of course, no textures, it's a work you must do manually later. But it's the best free solution I have ever seen

I am also interested in free exporters (I do it for free, I am not a professional). But I see that there are not any free active projects lately. You must pay 195$ or something like that. A good .obj exporter without errors would be fantastic.

I use Kerkythea but I am waiting for a Luxrenderer plugin. I prefer to use opensource tools. If I can't, I use free alternatives. And I believe that there are at this momment a lot of renderers, so I can choose.

(Anyway I use the free version of sketchup and I am trying to export the .skp to blender. It's complex and it's being under discussion in another thread. My models are very heavy).

      ΒΏ2030 is ok for you? πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

I was at the roof in 2001. As you can imagine is a place that tourist doesn't visit. With the hard hat on my head... when I was studying.

In one year or two it will be completely under a roof (forgive my limited english). That's because the towers are independent, built over the church, you can see it in this photo:

Thanks Tig, and Thank Remus, for fixing it.

If you are interested I visit spanish forums where people upload photos with the progress of the construction. I can inform you here. Well, most of them are photos from flickr, where you can find the progress day by day.

      Well, let's start:

    • Videos of Gaudi's Sagrada Familia finished (Barcelona,Spain)

I have posted it in another spanish forum, and people liked them, so why not to put them here?

The videos were made by Toni Meca. He wanted to make a film set in the future about a finished Sagrada Familia. So he ask to their constructors for information, to make a 3D model for the film. He never did it. Instead, he made a CD-Rom with the 3D model and sold it in 2002. Constructors of Sagrada Familia complained, and won at the court. So all the copies were retired from market. The videos are very rare, but someone has uploaded some of them to youtube. The 3D model has some mistakes, the renders are quite old, but you must see it.

I recommend to see them in youtube, as you can see it in HD and Full Screen.

      I hope you like them.

(I did my best putting the videos here to see them, I don't manage with the command flash, is new for me).

Does someone can make a sketchup model of the Sagrada Familia in two days? πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

Edit: I have to leave now, If you can't see the video can a moderator fix it? It's the first time I use the [flash... command to put videos here.
