Nicely done!
I am using historic photos taken from odd angles odd angles --it not as easy as when pictures are taken properly you just need to fly around and figure out where the picture was taken.

I'll put one together SU does allow you to do multiple photo matches. But in my experience it sometimes gets very lost when it tries a second one. I will pull something together to share.

I understand-- I use this technique all the time, I draw historic buildings and it works like a charm.

Sorry, I took it down because it was out dated and my newest model is too big to upload to the warehouse.
Search for a sky dome in the warehouse, there are lots of them. You will need to fiddle with the transparency to let the sun in.
Have fun, they work great
Nice job on the video!
Its possible to embed video in SecondLife walls- there has got to be away...
I've been dabbling with a similar technique. I am trying to recreate a historic village based on maps and photos. The scenes tell the story. work in progress-- I am still cleaning things up.

Interesting, it reminds me of a house on the Flintstones.
I answered a post to see if SU could be used to model a now mostly vanished town.
Here are my results, this is a great tool.
