The contours are cut through a grouped mesh [e.g. a terrain surface that is a group]...

I've downloaded the plugin and created contours for a meshed terrain model that was generated from Goodle maps. Now that I have contours on the meshed terrain model, other than seeing contours, what else can I do with them. I've tried to manipulate the contours (ie, push /pull, etc.) but they are not editable. Am I missing something?

    • SketchUp 7 pro for mac toolbars setup???

I'm used to working in SketchUp 6 pro for PC. I recently got an Imac and SketchUp 7 Pro, however setting up the toolbars is very different than the previous version. Before I simply went to the View menu and selected the tool that I wanted and positioned them in rows at the top of my screen. SketchUp 7 pro for Mac does not allow the toolbars to be positioned in rows. I must select individual tools from the "customize toolbars" command and place each tool in the menu bar which does not allow for multiple rows. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to set up my toolbars in rows like in SketchUp 6?

      Thanks.

What version of Vray are you using? It just says 2007 Vray for SketchUp

Better textures and not settings would help right out of the gate.

Secondly, try using an HDRI image for your lighting....it will do wonders. An HDRI image? ... do you mean for the background? Will that help to sharpen the image, because I have to do that in Photoshop. Can you give me some direction?
Make sure you have gone through the manual and reviewed things also. Yeah, I will do that. Thanks a lot!

    • Good VRAY settings for exterior renderings ....please!

HELP! Could someone provide me with some good basic VRAY settings (for SketchUp) that would give me good exterior rendered images?

I don't know what controls the light source in VRAY???? I really had to do a lot of PP in Photoshop to get this image (which I don't consider to be that great) to look as it does.

Does anyone know how to eliminate the "swirling effect" in texture maps. Is there a filter in VRAY that would fix that?

Here's the image. Any help would be most appreciated!houses.jpg

Could you share some screenshots at least?* I'll post some images later since I'm at work and the problem is with my home workstation. Also, what happens if you disable one of the monitors and try to run SU (and your system) with only one?

*Anyway, as far as I know, SU doesn't really like dual monitors but I may well be mistaken about this.

I use two monitors at work that use the same video card and I don't have this problem and as I posted, I've always used two monitors but with two separate video cards at home.

    • SketchUP looks blurry????

I recently upgraded my video card and since doing so, SketchUp does not look as sharp as it did before my upgrade. Everything looks as though there is an anti-aliasing filter on the lines or something.... they look blurry.

I am using two monitors and had two separate video cards for each monitor, however, one card was a 256 NVIDIA card and the other was a 128 meg ATI card. I upgraded to a 512 NVIDIA card that supports two monitors. I know that the monitors now share the 512 memory, but that would still mean that I would have 256 meg for each monitor, correct? I didn't think I would see any change. I've checked all my settings and nothing appears to be set that would cause the problem. In addition, all other graphic applications (ie: AutoCad, 3dS Max, Photoshop, etc.) work without any change in appearance. It's only with SketchUp.?????

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.
