HELP! Could someone provide me with some good basic VRAY settings (for SketchUp) that would give me good exterior rendered images?

I don't know what controls the light source in VRAY???? I really had to do a lot of PP in Photoshop to get this image (which I don't consider to be that great) to look as it does.

Does anyone know how to eliminate the "swirling effect" in texture maps. Is there a filter in VRAY that would fix that?

Here's the image. Any help would be most appreciated!houses.jpg

What version of Vray are you using?

Better textures and not settings would help right out of the gate.

Secondly, try using an HDRI image for your lighting....it will do wonders.

Make sure you have gone through the manual and reviewed things also.

2007 Vray for Sketchup (got a feeling that is not right)

Can you give us a screen shot showing your version?

An HDRI image will be used as the GI in the image. It will not help sharpen the image but it will help add realistic light to the image.

Vray is not going to be a one click to perfect image render. It has many settings and takes time with the manual as well as trial and error. I would also check the Asgvis site as they have a few tutorials as well as premade vray settings in the download area (not sure if you need to be a registered user though).
