I am wondering if some little gimmick like a mouseover/flyout show credit could work. Of course this may not be the format you are using. That is more like a webpage thing. In the real print world you just provide a Footnote and Bibliography.

RE: Help
Hi.
It may be that you have not provided enough information for anyone viewing your thread in this forum to start with. There could be many reasons why you cannot run the application.
It would be helpful also, to fill out your user profile, so that those who can help will have some information to go on.It appears that you have submitted a Bugsplat report, and, perhaps someone from that group will contact you. But that report goes to Trimble for analysis.

RE: Best practices to push pull multiple componets
Well, I thought Fredo's Joint PushPull, however, it appears that JPP Interactive is not playing well in my Sketchup V8 and later, but it may be that I am not applying it correctly.
On a side note: You are aware of small dimension face formation in Sketchup? Not that this is an issue, but upscaling the components can help with editing and then scaling them back to size.
Perhaps a plugin called Slicer can do the mitering. I do not have it, but I recall discussions, and it is available in the PluginStore.

RE: Best practices to push pull multiple componets
Hi:
In this case, it appears that scaling along an axis is the most direct way. Select all, activate the scale tool, grab the "centroidal"? grip, and move along that axis. Does this make sense? For mitering, you could construct a mitering plane at the desired angle(45 or other) and intersect with your components. Select all, right click> intersect. You may wish to copy and make all components unique for this operation so that the original components can be available for other actions. Or save your components to other than In Model.
EDIT: After you intersect, you remove the unwanted portions.
EDIT: Oops. That is not quite right. You will need to edit each component for the miter.
You didn't ask about plugins, but there are tools to do these operations. -

Hi, cotty:
I am wondering, did you need additional thermal protection, or acoustic insulation? -
RE: How to credit warehouse models
Hi, emerald15:
The following thread may not be the answer, but can give some insight:http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=79%26amp;t=38857
You may have already seen it. I was just googling "attribution for 3d warehouse models".

RE: Modeling Walls from a DWG Base
Example not seen. However, your description suggests this is standard behavior when you make a big rectangle to trace on. The bottom face will be open after extrude.

RE: Breakwater-avoid intersection of objects
Do a google search on "Rocksolver" This is a plugin, but I cannot tell if it has a price or it is free. I did not search too far.

RE: Lines Vanishing!
Hi, Joel:
I would guess it is your OpenGL settings, but this is based on an experience with disappearing selection box.
Hopefully someone else can verify? -
RE: Warehouse weirdness
If the IE cache situation becomes persistent, you can, on Windows make a shortcut for "inetcpl.cpl"
This is the file for the Internet Options UI. From here, you can clear your cache if you do not use the normal method, or CCleaner. -

RE: Volume Models get destroyed by some volume functions
Hi, Alex:
I downloaded your skp to try it out.
First off: The skp opened with the model upside down. The template you are using has no feature to indicate directionality except the "solidity" of the axes colors. I don't know if Sketchup cares which way is up, but I like to work with ordinary frames of reference.
I went to check which template you were using--metric, product design and woodworking, I think. I tried to retain it, and return to the model, but the program froze up, and I had to shut down and reboot, so I didn't continue.
Dave Richards' method of up-scaled component instance editing would be the way to go. Probably scale by 100. 25mm would be 2500mm--but it's still 25 somethings.I may come back to this later, but I am out of time right now.

Hi, masmark:
Thanks for responding. Good to know I wasn't totally wrong -
RE: RevUp Render
Why not contact the company and see if they support Sketchup in any way, shape or form. I could not readily tell from their main page or any drop downs. It appears that it's all about Revit, although I did see a Rhino symbol on the bottom bar.

RE: Photo Match Paint Bucket Translucent Color Over Photo
Did you use orbit, or did you click on that scene tab in the upper left below your toolbars? The scene tab properly aligns the camera, photo and model.
