Has anyone got any experience with SU animate and Mac? I'm trying to use it, but it just keeps crashing after I end a path. Any suggestions? I'll try XP- see what happens. Also, Sorry if this double posts, but the internet is really crawling here!

I've been looking at what's on the market in the downsized 'wheels' department. It would be great if there were some reasonably priced electrics or hybrids there but its going to be a few years before that happens. In my book one little car ticks most of the boxes, its the Fiat Panda 100HP! High driving position, plenty of room for bits and pieces and more if the rear seats and folded and its quite nippy at 0-60 in around 9 sec, also it does around 45 mpg! And most importantly its easy on the pocket. I see 2 year old specimens advertised at nearly half full retail price. Oh! and its got tinted glass so you won't be recognised driving around in your downsized 'wheels' But the main thing is its a lot of fun! The 4x4 version Fiat Panda 4x4 vs Range Rover http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAg4DdXAp7Y doesn't look as good as the 100HP but the proposed Fiat / Jeep Phoenix looks the business for a bit of off road fun. What would be your choice for downsized wheels? [image: qk7Y_Panda100HPFront.jpg] [image: EeD8_Panda100HPRear.jpg] [image: vVoQ_Phoenix4x4FiatJeep.jpg]

Fefo, I'll make a note never to live beside you I think this technology has a ways to go before it becomes anything like common place but I can see it cutting construction costs substantially in time if it can be proven safe. With regard to 'who pays for the energy?' question. Maybe in order for this technology to work some outside the box thinking would have to come into play. For to work it might be required that the end user machines would have to be computerised / linked to the network to show consumption? Now that would stump Fefo but would be a further invasion our our privacy, that is unless ultra efficient energy producing devices come into play that we could use in our back yards or integrated into our home fabric. Sure, thanks, that's also a good idea (IF someone use them). Although the music is nice, too, and that doesn't get through.

I've been wanting to build a home made CNC machine for a while, a rep-rap too if I could find one with a good enough resolution... Anyway, the "printer" up there reminded me of this home made kit: http://buildyourcnc.com/blacktoe.aspx Looks like a lot of fun.

Personally I don't mind new software announcements even if they're untested. Then I can download a demo and see if it fits into my work flow or if it's a waste of time. Everyones needs, work flows, and UI comforts are a little different, so even if an experienced user post a rave review about the software that they use, that doesn't mean it'll be a fit for me. However members posts still do carry some weight as right now I'm having a hard time deciding between Modo and Vue, thanks to solo and his recent gallery posts. Mike

I'm still using two soup cans and a piece of string. Never have to worry about battery life and if reception isn't good, you just pull the string a little tighter.

Thanks for the heads up Mike. I'm assuming it's all live in person training....are there webcasts also? Personally, they seem like another company who started doing vis-work, mediocre vis work at that, then the recession hit and they decided to go to plan B. I'm not that impressed by their portfolio and I doubt spending $500 would teach me more than 2 or 3 hours on youtube could. Just my opinion.

They should share the money with all of us in the EU who bought AMDs As the EU only has about 500 million people plus some don't have computers and others have Intels then the sum would pretty nice Ok just daydreaming

Me thinks the smile is for the tax payers that have given billions of dollars to keep this brick of a company floating.
