I used to think that it must have been Dell who were funding Psystar, but after this latest move, I can't help feeling now that it is Steve Ballmer & Microsoft pushing this. You have to remember that a Mac is a 'product' NOT necessarily a PC as such (although it is!). While PC's are quite capable of running OS X, you miss out on the elegance of an Apple product- and lets face it, Apple's products do look wonderful don't they? I was a big Dieter Rams/ Braun fan too you know http://gizmodo.com/343641/1960s-braun-products-hold-the-secrets-to-apples-future

Yes, I agree that the majority of people in Ireland are under the impression that a 'yes' vote will continue the gravy train or at least the 'bail out' Euros'. I feel they will be in for a very rude awakening in the not too distant future. Some months ago I read a very interesting article which debunked the Irish 'gravy train' suggestion. While Ireland did gain billions from the EU for infrastructure, roads, ports etc, we also gave away our fishing rights, (the largest in Europe) for the quick buck! The Polititians that did this should be shot! I would have much preferred if our idiot politicians had the foresight to see that we could have developed this industry to its maximum instead of relying on the likes of Dell, Intel etc etc that are really only here for the tax breaks and low wages of 10 years ago. The only problem now is that similar tax breaks and much lower labour cost is available in the newly joined EU countries, Poland etc. Still the up side is that I think Ireland is now starting to SEE that we have to build on what we have, Fisheries (hope we take them back), Green Food Production, Wind and Wave Power and not to forget Tourism. However it will take at least 10 years plus before we will see these industries being fully developed. Mike

Thanks Pbacot, the GoCycle has a luggage arm that the above case is attached to, looks quite good but the aluminum case is a little pricey. I think the GoCycle design team slipped up when they designed the neat carry case for the bike strictly as such! They could have designed a dual purpose case, both for carrying the folded bike also for use as a luggage case. Thanks to the link Stephen. If you are finding the Irish weather a bit wet, how about a Veltop? http://www.veltop.eu/index.php?produit_veltop_en A bit pricy and I wonder about the wet and WINDY weather, still if the wind was behind, that would be fine [image: Ga76_RearLuggageArmampCase.jpg]

I foresee a new age of torture. Last week I visited a friend and I had to watch photos of her dogs for half an hour. Can you imagine what people will do with this camera?

@unknownuser said: But I'd like to know why do most things now start with a small 'i'? Same reason there were car models called 'CD' and 'laser' back when CD players were new. Turbo. LX. Royale. Whatever - something catches the public eye/ear and for a while becomes a signifier of cool and desirable. Remember when there were lots of Xs and Zs in car model names? Not quite sure why there have never been Ford Mustang 'Schlong' variants, or NIssan NIpples.

Sorry I didn't join in on this over the weekend, but my internet went down (made for a great weekend actually). @ Ken: sorry for whatever happened with the support issue. If you need support and have trouble like that again just PM me here or post on http://forums.doublecad.com and I'll make sure you're taken care of. Sounds like you're happy with TC16. Your DC problems are odd though -- I haven't encountered them. @ Linea: thanks for the compliments and support. @Jim: regarding Xrefs, it is only one-way. You can't Xref the DoubleCAD file into SketchUp. But it is 2D CAD designed for documentation, so typically you wouldn't want to do that unless you wanted an elevation or something that you could bring into Layout for a presentation. Also, creating an Xref is only in the PRO product. If you have an Xref in the drawing you can open it and update it in the free version, but can't create new Xrefs there. I'm not sure that the Xrefs are the most powerful aspect at this time. We're adding a lot of functionality to them to make Xrefs more robust. I believe the "drafting palette" functionality that we've done in the PRO version is perhaps the best time saver. It is a feature normally found in MCAD products for sectioning and documenting mechanical parts, but we've taken the concept and extended it to surface models like .SKP for architectural elevations, floorplans, sections, and more. Thanks for the thread here, and thanks for the interest. We really want to move rapidly in development, and are listening carefully to what people say, so thanks too for comments and feedback. -- William
