That's cool. looking forward to the renders on that. As a personal ekranoplan vehicle I'd go for this (Aquaglide!): [image: Aquaglide_2.jpg] If you're looking for more heres a site with video and more images, including orthographic: http://www.vincelewis.net/ekranoplan.html

lol, all i like 'sit'. Its simple. A least my name is not starting with an Xe (xenophon) which could make things difficult. You know that this X pronounce sounds like access

Thanks, I appreciate this. @matteo: Apollo of Olympia belongs to the same school like this one. Antinous is greek-roman (or hellenistic) I think, its much easier to sketch it. Yes dale I know sculptris. You know a beta similar version already exists in blender sculpt 'room'. Its all about dynamic topology. In any case in voxels or sculptris-like apps, you have to re topologize the whole mesh and go for a final surface sculpting (zbrush is the king). Its a long story. This here is a 12k faces model, podium v2 doesn't support normal maps for the moment but I like this kray clone renderer.

"Some nice images here." I see you point leedeetee. Here's a 'sketch' via pshp for a scene I have in mind. About economical crisis in greece, a Giorgio DeChirico influence, its complicated. A 3dCoat google earth mix. Working on the full SU scene now. 'The roman' [image: 6iM4_googleEarthAthensRoman2.jpg]

Magenta p v2, Green TL, Blue p v1. lol Most of the magenta problem comes from environment colours though. The PP method is not the best as we're loosing dynamics. Even using hdr 32 bit exports. This podium kray engine produces impressive dynamic lighting. May be a winner on this. 7 min using blurred reflections on windows is not so bad. p v1.7x render times (noisy_preset) are similar. My problem with this P v2 beta is on reflections so far, I need to create a specular effect. I mean, I need to change the gamma of reflection. But how?

Thanks Oli, I think I'll wait for the mac version. I'll never boot windows on my machine. Or vm ware or anything like this. Sorry, mac user here. PC versions just don't exist for me.

No orgelf. Basic model in blender + UV maps > exported to zbrush 2 500 000 poly there) > detailed modeling there > imported to blender as ~600 000 poly > baked UV textures > then exported again from zbrush as ~10 000 poly to blender > highpoly baked UV maps reassigned to lowpoly model > exported to SU as 3ds. Do you think now that this is complicated? Its not really. Its the only reasonable way.

thx xrok. Go to Photshp prefs/general/ image interpolation/ preserve hard edges Work using magic wang having anti-alias off. Use only hard (not interpolated tools). All these having in mind that not all render engines support 0-255 Alpha transparency (like podium). This is a major problem, (all this halo thing). Even here its a problem because we really need this full transparency. BTW SU supports it.

Some PP here just for DOF. Two dof maps exported from SU. I had to simulate a macro style photo. An apple model too, (for PC lovers lol), a blender UV mappning at its best. Have fun. [image: hfIb_20091011171718_2m4s.jpg] apple.skp

@olishea said: Weird, i didnt think SU sky would have that effect, nice! Maybe use smoove tool in sandbox tools to add some swells in the water, quick and easy. Smoove tool among other tools depended on VCB, don't seem to work in SU v7.1 BTW Update: It works but there's a bug after all. Re: Problem with specifying measurement when drawingby bjanzen on Thu Sep 24, 2009 5:00 pm Yea, on PC, the Measurements box never gets highlighted, and for some reason on Mac, it does and then doesn't accept input. You can make it go away by tabbing out of the Measurements box or making sure it isn't highlighted. We're looking at it. b (see, I can forget "VCB" if I want too)
