Since you made this in Sketchup I have to give huge props for the work you did. Smooth shapes and details. Exterior design itself is...well, not pretty in my opinion.

Amazing work. What's the render plugin you used? V-ray?

    • [SK-Indigo] Lights

I'm trying to set light to my model but when I start rendering, that area I selected for light is just black. No light at all, it's even more darker than normal. I made new white material for light and double-clicked material and Indigo window shows up, then I select light from the Assign Preset. That's pretty much all I did. What went wrong? 😞

    • Working on the quite of highly detailed project

I'm working on now quite of highly detailed model (City block) and my PC won't run it smoothly, so I would like to know some solutions to make it run better, like hiding objects and when I finish*, unhide them. Ofcourse there is that layer function but I don't know how it works, anyone could tell me step-by-step how it works?

***** I'm planning to make City block first into many parts and after everything is done, I put them all together.

      Thanks!

      I'm having problems with skindigo!
Everytime i run sketchup, a window shows up asking for me to locate a .exe file. When i locate the indigo.exe on my indigo directory, an error message pops up:
      "Error Loading File SkIndigo_1_0_9.rb
      cannot convert nil into String"
I followed the installation instuctions correctly, and i downloaded skindigo v.1_0_9 and indigo_v0.9.10. What's going on? Any help?
The plugins menu in sketchup doesn't even show up...

PS: My sketchup version is google sketchup and it's not pro...and i use windows vista.

EDIT: Never mind, works now! Just extract stable version and locate .exe in Sketchup.

In the "camera" pulldown menu you'll find the "standard" flyout menu...there are the "top" and 4 side views (you'll need to turn off "perspective" if you want a true 2d).

      Thanks.

Just restart SU and the plugin should be listed under the 'plugins' menu or the 'tools' menu.

      It's not there 😞

      Dear All,

You can change lines to construction lines by using Rick Wilson's xlines.rb, and kind young Rick has made it free.

If i understand you correctly, i reckon you want to unhide the roof and apply a dashed exture to it. You could quite easily make one yourself, or im sure there must be a few available on the internet somewhere.

I mean just boundaries. Not whole roof.
