    • I am unable to scale a texture

Hi, I have been away from sketchup for a while now but thought I would get some practice. It is scary it is like I have forgotten to do some basic things. In the image I have bricks on the far left, thing is when I texture it, it textures both plane and when I select one of the faces it selects both 😕
Also when I right click on the texture, I would select texture/position/scale. But It does not give me that option 😕 Can anyone please suggest why I may be having these issues? I am at a loss 😕

    • Making a drawn texture look acceptable as a texture

I am trying to work out how to make a cad elevation of some complex brickwork I tried to import some textures of bricks and painstakingly " put different brick textures but could not get it to work.............and life is too short, and I was not very successful. Can anybody tell me how to add bump or some other way of making these cad elevations look acceptable on my model so it renders OK?
      Any ideas?

      Thanks

The other day my kid, who is 11, walked in while I was working on this. He sighed, slowly shook his head and left again.

Be that as it may ... As far as putting my so-called skills to good use goes, I've signed up for a year-long, fulltime 3D course, which starts in september. (Hopefully!)

      Should be interesting.

Very interesting indeed mate. Please keep us posted. I would love to be a fly on the wall 😉 👍

    • RE: Problem to create a roof that is not a plane

If you use sandbox "from contours" would do it I think. So I would suggest making the roof a wireframe and fill the roof "planes" from contours. will be unforgiving but do-able

Yes, Twinmotion is something that is getting away from me right now. Just not able to get to grips with it.

There are lots of video tuts but I do not get on with video tuts.

Stick with it mate, I know the UI is a bit tricky. But seriously I am not exactly a genious when it comes to learning new programs but when you get your head around the UI it is actually fairly easy.

      Ok.jpg
Did an animation a while ago using twinmotion. This was my first go with the program. It is just a screenshot of a 20Sec animation.

Hi looks very interesting. How does it compare with Twinmotion of course the UI looks infinately more complex bt I assune that is the gaming design aspect.

    • Something beautiful

I found something beutifull amongst the horror. I hope others get something positive from it, And makes you smile if only for a little while

TEXT ABOUT THE MAKING OF THE VIDEO FROM THE AUTHOR'S
"A few days ago we asked the internet to stop misery scrolling for a moment, and to sing with us!

Over 1000 people from 18 countries submitted a video of their performance of “Close To You” (The Carpenters) in just TWO DAYS.

Every submission that we successfully received was manually added to the collective. And then we saw the magic unfold… Plug in those earphones and turn this up.

We can’t adequately express in words what a gift your videos were to us. Each was like unwrapping a beautiful, personal, virtual hug. Thanks for trusting us with your voices, and for sharing your lives with us for a few minutes.

We really hope the result gives you something to smile about. We’d love you to share it far and wide (please note, we won’t ask you to make it viral…)
Special thanks to Sleepy Mountain Films for this incredible edit"

    • RE: Whom do you trust?

I have no choice other than putting my faith in my Government. They have chosen the path of trying to keep the infection cases of the below the level of medical assets by modulating social distancing trough 4 levels of exposure. I imagine it would be like flying a jumbo with no operating control surfaces and having to use only throttle for control, learning as they go.I have chosen compliance as my strategy it is my best bet in my context, and have no idea it will pan out. Am also aware that there are those much, much worse off than myself and my heart goes out. My best wishes are all I have to give in these tragic grim times.
