Anyone looking for a seemingly simple project that would be very useful???

Seemingly, because I have no clue..... πŸ˜›

I would love to see a plugin/script that would sequentially place numbers at a set height wherever you clicked on a model. You would also need to be able to set the start number (1,2,3... or 25,26,27,28... etc).

I am looking to number lots on site plans. There is a script available for AutoCad called 'lotno' that has the exact functionality I am looking for, with the exception of specifying the Z value.

I am assuming you are talking "spot heights" that would be invaluable especially in Landscape Architecture on contours. Brilliant idea mate, would change my life πŸ‘ πŸ‘

    • RE: Spaciship? Spaciship!

Hi Bryan, I think lights in the Landing/loading bays and perhaps navigation lights would help. I also think some bold and not so bold graphic details. but I think your main enemy here is the default materials, Titanium perhaps? I think that model deserves some extra rendering time that the lights and a bit of shine may require:thumb:

(edited) Did you use an image for the background? If not have a look at these. BTW if they take a long time to load into your renderer that is normal. Have attached a link for Space HDRI's

So cool thanks for posting. I am not sure if absolutely true, but I was told that an intel binary chip would have to be the size of the universe to do the same as a quantum chip of a similar size (To A standard binary chip)! Not sure how true that is but it impressed the hell out of me 😍

The last image turned out great and is an obvious evolution from the previous images.

Thanks Bryan, nice to hear that all that tweaking wasn't for nothing πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜„ It feels hard to justify sometimes πŸ˜‰

Thanks very much guys πŸ‘ It took a lot of patients but definitely was a learning curve for me πŸ˜‰ I genuinely think rendering is an art, and the more I learn the more I realise I know very little πŸ˜‰

Hi Danial, I have added sugar hits in spite of a "clear desk" policy πŸ˜‰
There are other issues with this render but am suffering from renderers fatigue πŸ˜‰ Morning 7.jpg

Morning.jpgThanks Mike and Bryan, I have finished the experiment with a morning shot as the boys have pulled an all nighter πŸ‘
And Bryan I somehow think we use the same render engine;)

Screenshot 4.jpgScreenshot.jpgHi All, I came across a model I had abandoned some time ago. I thought I would render it to see how I would come out. Thought I would share for what its worth. It is straight out of the renderer without any post production

Really accomplished Dave, much more complex than meets the eye probably one of the best models I have seen. The proportions are refined and perfect 😍

Realy nice, mate from all perspectives πŸ‘ πŸ‘ My only comment would be a line of birds silhouetted in the sky, I just think that would make the composition perfect.......... no Chedda, not dragons.......no πŸ˜‰

Nice work Mike, both the renders and design for such a small footprint πŸ‘ I like the purple and other colours, this may be subjective but I think the blue is way too heavy πŸ˜‰
