    • RE: Musically inclined.

I play a couple of instruments.

In College before I transfered into design I was a Music Performance Major - Concert & Church Pipe Organ (for Cathedrals and such). I had meant to get back into playing but only just started playing church services again after 25 years 😲 . Where does the time go?

I also play 12 string acoustic, banjo and am now learning Mandolin.

The town I grew up in to see how it's changed? Haven't been back there yet but maybe someday....

    • RE: I'll show you mine, if you show me yours?

165,000 miles and going strong. We have a lot of Summer fun practically living out of this SUV; camping, biking, hiking, festivals and all. Also very good in Wisconsin Winters. Very practical and comfortable vehicle.

    • RE: What do you or the firm you work for specialize in?

The company I work for designs, builds & maintains tradeshow and museum exhibits. A good portion of our staff are from live theatre, television and film backgrounds. I am the senior designer and head the production department of design, project menegement, graphics & estimates. We also arrange all the shipping, labor at show sites and just plain logistics of getting an exhibit to the tradeshow and back again, nationally & internationally.

    • RE: Where do you work?

I work for a trade show & museum exhibit company in a suburb of Milwaukee, WI USA.

The one thing I appreciate the most in our office building, connected to our shops, warehouse and docks, are that the windows open to let in fresh air. My office is the last door on the left. I also enjoy seeing deer and other wildlife in the woods outside my office window.

    • RE: Scanning Scale?

      James,

One trick I use since I use SU more than Illustrator is to rough out artwork in SU and then export into Illustrator and finish it there. Will only be helpful if your logo is mainly line work and not photographic.

    • RE: My Mac Experience UPDATE !

      Hi Mike,

I've been using Macs & PC's since the mid 80's and have had a better experience with the Mac's (Currently a 17" Macbook Pro & a G5 desktop). When I pull out the little white remote control to operate video in iMovie on my laptop I've had PC laptop users jaws drop.

Still hope to be over in your area sometime for my son(s) Irish Dance Competitions!

    • My Diet - Mainly Exercise

Look at ny avatar, my life has given me a new way to lose weight. I'm a divorced dad of 3 kids but my new significant other has an almost one year old that is like the "energizer bunny" from the commercials. Keeping up with him as he explores his new world keeps the weight off (and he only started officially walking yesterday !).

Our lifestyle is always on the go, a lot of walking and hiking, swimming, outdoor festivals (LB is a "Clog" Dancer - Like Irish Dance but American Country), cross country ski, etc., We have a backback to carry the little guy. We don't do fast food and mainly times split single portions in two when eating out.

The Avatar - One of Liam's quiet moments a couple months ago, napping on my chest and giving his approval of Mom's Guy.

    • RE: Where is the TV?

Any idea of the manufacturer? Could be cool for tradeshow or musuem exhibits.

      Thanks,
