Nice, but the texture on the wall is just way wrong/bad no offence meant.

RE: Sketchup 3d warehouse blank
If you are in a bind and need something soon, I would google 3 d warehouse and open the model you require outside sketchup and cut and past the model into the model you are working on. Does not help your issue but I tend to do it that way anyway just out of habit.

RE: How to make a leg
Glad to help, must say thought that that is pretty good for a "beginner"

RE: Custom New England Style Kitchen
Agreed, Really nice work and something to aspire to. Really good use of DOF, I have been hesitant to use it on interiors, will surely try it now

RE: Will You Come Play With Me?
WOW, Stinkie, as a render/model it is Amazingly good but the space makes me want to vomit, If that was your intent you nailed it! I seriously think that is High Art

RE: Another work in progress
Will be looking forward to seeing this one progress. Looks very promising, and thanks for sharing I think works in progress are exiting for others or me anyway

RE: How to make a leg
There are many ways to achieve something in sketchup. This is one way.

RE: What is the best software for 3D Rendering?
@jga said:
Kerkythea or Twilight Render Hobby, both free, both capable of great results.
Any current package can give great results, but you need to put the time in to know the software.I second that, to get it right is an art, in my opinion and takes experience, patient and practice no matter what the program is. None of then are "plug and play"

RE: Help required
I was thinking of a more sophisticated joining method

RE: What is the best software for 3D Rendering?
I am reticent to answer because the question is so big and, you have not given much information about your needs . Do you need something that is:.
Cheap?
Free?
Cost is not an issue?
can apply to number of 3D platforms?
Easy, quick learning curve?
Hardware forgiving?
What genre of modelling do?
What level of photo realism do you require? ............................................................................................................................................The list would go on and on a bit, but I think you would need to be specific about your requirements before anybody could give you any advice. In short there is not any "best" render engines, It is like asking: What is the best tree?

No, not at all - it's really really good!
(rendered in ?)Pretty sure that is rendered in Raylectron

RE: A cafe
Hi, no thats not what I meant. You can make them instances in your renderer. If it looks like yo have 40 chairs your computer will think you only have one. Look at "instancing in Raylectron"

RE: Spaceship Junji Oboku
Nice work Bryan, I now realise that you were going for the look of the original, but think it would be a cool, as per Majid's suggestion that that you put your own spin on it to make it your own

This is one way using intersect faces.
