Hi Ken, well, to my best knowledge construction geometry consists of points and lines (infinite and finite). I don't know what these ruby gurus might come up with (nowadays you dare not say NO to anything) but I don't think there is such a geometry as "construction face". You could use a simple face however put on a certain layer (where you could also put all your construction geometry as well) and control its visibility. Make sure to group that face though otherwse it will interact with other geometry.

Ken, Absolutely fascinating stuff! It's so interesting to see SU being used for fields outwith architecture, industrial design, gaming, etc. @unknownuser said: Just wish they would change the name, so I wouldn’t have to defend the program every time I show something to a client and he wants to know what I used to make the illustrations. Amen to that- such a shame that the same minds who brilliantly re-invented 3D modelling also decided to give it a really lame name. It says a lot about how good SU actually is that it has completely dominated the market even with such an awful moniker, but I often wonder if it wouldn't be quite so derided amongst hardcore 3D modellers if it had a grown-up name. It's undoubtedly too late for them to change it now, but maybe simply "SU" will eventually catch on amongst laypeople.

ah, I see. so blue may not be the ideal colour if you (like me at the moment) work with an old and fairly bad laptop screen - violet and blue are too much alike. thanks for the info, Alan

@lapx said: Look up k-tools ruby. Under geometry/ round edge. It will do what you are asking. Sorry to be slow today, under my K_tools 5, I don't have the option of rounded corners, Angle division, outer circle of triangle, inner circle of triangle, Make T, Make L. However, thanks for the help. Ken

RickW Not sure how I missed your note. That would be nice. As I said I have modified Didier’s and TIG "All Plugings Help Files ..." script to open up the Wordpad program, however, I can’t get it to open the Wordpad program and the selected TXT message. Side note, can't seem to find any Ruby help in opening other programs. I am using Wordpad because it has more formatting capabilities than Notepad. I have put in the Help menu a choice, “Project Notes”. When selected this checks the directory Notes, (which I have made) for TXT files, just like the “All Plugins Help Files...” script checks for Help files. Anyway, I would appreciate your help. Note, if this project information is stored in the model, would it move from model to model as I rename the various version I save to keep track of the work in progress? Also, would want to be able to print the Project Notes, so I could pass them along to others. Also, these notes could get large, as I get a lot of email advice and comments that I would like copy into the file and keep track of. Well, again thanks for the offer. Hope to be able to return the favor. Ken

I can't help you in that case, but a "compile" error on Ruby scripts? Should be an "Interpreter error" Try to check the Ruby versions. Type to the Ruby Console: VERSION # or RUBY_VERSION azuby

Excellent. Any chance I can have you zip up that script directory and send it to me? I'll PM you with my contact info. We did make some Ruby changes in the latest release and maybe there is a bad interaction with one of your scripts. I can check it out and let you know. P: TriciaS
