I recently bought a laptop that came ATI Sunpro 8570 graphics 2gb card. It also has intel integrated HD graphics 4000. How can I ensure that SketchUp always uses my ATI graphics card and not the intel one?

Use ATI graphic card instead of Intel HD 4000

All my extensions should have a single root rb as well as a folder with the same name of the rb file. So there shouldn't be many files to remove.
Thanks! I installed all your plugins again, deleted files of old ones. Now I'm free from errors

@thomthom said:
John, that error is V-Ray Tools trying to load V-Ray. But the version of V-Ray you have installed doesn't work with SU2014.
Thanks a lot. Now I've fixed every damn error that was coming. Now I have an error free startup. feeling relieved just like you do after you cleanup your room after weeks.

Have you installed the latest version of this Plugins AND the TT Lib [both available from the SketchUcation PluginStore] ?
It looks like you copied a older incompatible version from another SketchUp Plugins folder ?
All of TT's scripts should be compatible with v2014 [and earlier] IF you use the latest versions which have been updated to suit...I did copy files from my v8 folder
, but I deleted all the tt_ files manually. Then I went to SCF plugin store and installed all tt_ plugins one by one. The error still there. Is there a way to purge obsolete files so that I don't get an error? Just like there is fredo6 library purge option? -

So you're suggesting that SketchUp go back to using an older version of Ruby? That defeats the benefits of using the newer version of Ruby. If you want to stick with the old Ruby then go back to using an older version of SketchUp.
By the way, it hasn't been "Google" SketchUp for some years.
Oops that's embarrassing. Sorry, Trimble Sketchup.
And is there a fast way to convert old ruby script to a new one? -
Plugin Friendly SketchUp 2014
Instead of we sketchup users bugging plugin makers to upgrade their plugins for v2014, is there a possibility that the guys at Google SketchUp edit the software architecture of sketchup so that older plugins are still compatible and SU 2014 users can easily work in it?

Gabor - my plugins were manually downloaded in chrome and copy pasted in sketchup version 8 and as TIG said those don't get recognized by plugin store since they are not downloaded via store interaface. I'm not understanding your statement.

John,
I suppose you have the SketchUcation Pluginstore Plugin installed? ( http://sketchucation.com/resources/plugin-store-download )If yes, and you launch it, you will see a list of the latest 20 plugins. If in the first dropdown you select the "Full list" option, it will show you the list of all plugins available in the PluginStore.
If you scroll down in this list to the plugin what you want to install and press the "Autoinstall" button, the plugin will be installed. It will also register your PluginStore download and next time you'll be able to see this new plugin in your Bundles list.
I know this, are you being sarcastic?

Looks like one of your problems is the rotated box tool. If you look in the SUcation Store, it was last updated last year. So perhaps it isn't compatible. Each entry gives an update date. However that doesn't mean it won't work. Looks like you had problems with two plugins, and their names are in the error report.
Unfortunately you'll have to look around for more info on the tool--the link in the SUcation store for more info on the rotated box tool is bogus. So a search in the forum gives this: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323%26amp;t=45806 Oh it's been updated. Just didn't make it into the store yet.
On Compo Spray You can see in the store it has not been updated in a long time. My process was, click to the Forum thread. Look at the latest entries--another person has the same problem--and no answer is given. You can assume this one will continue to give you trouble. I also checked at the ruby "library depot", where D. Bur also offers plugins, and it is not updated there.
So what should I do to use these 2 plugins for sketchup 2014? Or there is no way? The only way is to downsave your file to version 8 and then work?
