      Hello Community,

I am looking for some help rendering 4 scenes from a model I have created. I would like them to have the look and feel as the renderings attached. Anyone on the list able to help? If so could you direct message me and let me know time frame and price.

      Thanks!

    • RE: [Plugin][$] Curviloft 2.0a - 31 Mar 24 (Loft & Skinning)

      Hey community.

Im having a bit of trouble with this plugin. Maybe the way I am applying it or maybe Im doing something wrong. Could someone help?

Every time I attempt to loft an object along a path, the preview looks fine but the final result has tons of faces missing.

I am trying to get information on what the various options in the toolbar are once you see the preview, (ie, sampling, interpolating, etc) and what they do, but cant find any info on it.

      Can some help?

      John,

Attached is a screen shot of one of the furniture pieces showing the DC User options. The options in particular that we would need to change would be:
      Case Finish (15 types)
      Mirror Front Finish (2 types)
      Glossy Front Finish (1 type)
      Colored Glass Finish (23 types)

    • Plugin Developer Wanted ASAP

      Hello community...

I am looking for help to create a quick plugin. I have been looking for one that has this functionality but have not been able to find any, so maybe creating it is the only option.

      Problem:
I am creating fairly complex DC models of a furniture line. Each furniture piece has various finish options that an end user can select from in order to customize their final purchase. The client would like a JPEG of each combo to show on their website, along with a series of images that show the furniture piece rotating. I have already set up the scenes needed for the views the client wants as well as for the rotation and being able to do "File->Export->Animation->Image Set" seems to work just fine. Only thing is doing that for 400+ possible combinations is extremely time consuming.
      Solution:
Looking to create a plugin that would "read" certain parameters of the DC, select a combination, and export out the image set for that combination, and move on to the next combination. Additionally if we can specify a naming convention for the image set that is being exported... that would be useful as the images would relate to the furniture piece and the finish chose.

Any one up for the challenge? If so, please drop me a note and let me know 1) how long this would take to create and 2) what price tag would come with creating this plugin.

    • RE: Dynamic Component Help

Thanks Jim. I figured out that if I change the "Units" in the drop down list from 'Default:Text' to 'Decimal Numbers' the IF function worked out. Hpe that helps anyone else going through this.

    • Dynamic Component Help

      Hey All,

Having some trouble with executing a function within a dynamic component and wondering if anyone could help.

      Goal:
I have a complex model of a furniture piece with several layers of nested components. The top level component has various options that an end user can choose from to customize their furniture piece. What I want is for a nested element (a shelf) to hide when the user picks a specific height for the furniture piece.
      Execution:
I created a custom attribute and named it 'furnitureheight'. This attribute is drop down list with 3 heights that the user can choose from and I assigned each 'List Option' a 'Value'. The List options & Values are as follows:
      14" - 35.56cm
      22" - 55.88cm
      34" - 86.36cm
This is currently resizing the furniture piece accurately. Next, to hide the shelf, I added a "Hidden" attribute to the shelf component with the following "IF" function: =IF(furnitureheight=35.56,1,0)
      Problem:
The shelf is not hiding. Im not sure if it is a syntax error or if, because the shelf is nested 4 layers in from the top level component, there is something not right. Just to clarify, I am not getting an error message in sketchup within the attribute and I am passing down the values of the list from parent to child all the way down to the shelf component. I just dont know if I need to specify the value as "35.56" or "35.56cm" or "14". Ive tried all of them and nothing is working.

    • Need Help - jpeg export Plugin for renderers

      Hi Friends,

I see that there are 2D export plugins that will export scenes from sketchup automatically. Are there any similar plugins that can output photorealistic renderings (like Vray)from a rendered inside of SketchUp?

Not sure if the logo conveys the direction sketchup is moving towards. I dont think it has a link to what SU currently is.
