    • RE: I'VE ALMOST HAD IT WITH TRYING TO UNDERSTAND DC's!!!!

Many, many, many of the plug-ins make modeling so much easier and I am thankfull to all the Ruby experts that have created them. πŸ˜„

      Then there is DC. 😞

I felt somehow I was at fault because DC would never work right for me. Like Solo, I found it easier to spend a few more minutes working on the model "conventionally" than spending hours trying to make the thing work. The concept is GREAT however and I hope it eventually gets tweaked into someting workable.

By the way, had a thought... did AutoDesk have anything to do with developing it? Just asking. πŸ˜• πŸ˜‰

    • RE: RICHARD'S ULTRA LOW POLY CARS - UPDATED

Thank you Richard, these are really nice looking considering how small a footprint they make. I have a few models with nearly empty parking lots that I can now make look more convincing.

not sure I would mess with either, they seem to be just selecting the pre-cannned clips that appeal to you the most. Not very creative on the surface. Didn't look to see how easy to add your own content. Both for folks with too much time on their hands.

    • RE: [plugin] realSection v0.6 BΓ©ta (Updated 9/8/2014)

Is there anyone on the forum living in or near Antwerp that could knock on his door? I have e-mailed him several times with no response. He has an active web page. I got this info from the web easy enough

      Architectuurburo Wydouw
      Address : Hoevensebaan 238, 2950 Kapellen
      Phone:
      033279567
      http://www.wydouw.be

I hope he is okay and hope he could either unlock the plug-in as is, give us an update or put a price tag on it. This was very useful. There is at least one other similar plugin around, but I found this one easy to use and worth having.

    • RE: BIM for SketchUp - again?

I just saw this in "ArchDaily"

      http://www.trelligence.com/demos/Affinity7_Sketchup.mp4

A plug in that links rooms and floor level information to a data base. Seems to add an interesting feature to the BIM potential of SketchUp. Has anyone on the forum tried it or have an idea of the pricing? They are very coy about giving a price, which is usually indicates it is out of sight.

    • RE: Anyone?

If you click on the "view" menu at the top of the screen, make sure "hidden geometry" is not checked. That should eliminate the lines.

    • RE: Could'ya/would'ya use trees like these?

Thanks for these Tom. I think they would be very usefull where landscaping is required but where you need it "implied" rather than stated strongly. The slight color tint may also be usefull.

I am saddened to hear about Honolulu's passing. I also enjoyed his thoughfull and helpfull comments.
I agree 100% with the post "Box" made above. It is hard to know what to say. The concept of virtual friends is new but the sence of loss is very real. I wish and pray for his family to find peace.
