That's cool. My four year old son enjoys drawing with SketchUp, too. The other day he was working on my second computer. Supposed to be drawing a train layout in Xtrkcad but he'd gotten SketchUp open and had drawn a snowman in 3D. 😄

I am on a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 3G of RAM running OSX.5.2.

I hadn't noticed this problem until today, but now it is consistent over a couple reboots and permission repairs.

I have successfully exported models with groups/components painted from "outside" to Kerkythea for rendering but this must really depend on the renderer you use (and the plugin you export with).

The same with back faces - previously the SU2KT plugin did not export materials applied to back faces (or at least they did not render) while it does now. 3ds max however cannot handle back faces (and even the materials applied on them do not export from SU).

I wouldn't buy anything from Starbucks- they've virtually monopolised the entire centre of Edinburgh, driving all the independant cafes out of business and then quickly snapping up the empty premises. Shame on them. 😠

A little bonus with the buttons is... because you can have them have different functionality in different apps you can kinda sneak in a "3rd button"

The default setup is that the 2nd button launches the preferences panel for the navigator which is very handy for making adjustments while you're using it. As handy as that is, I wanted different functions in Sketchup so I had to "sacrifice" that functionality and switched the number 2 button to go to X-Ray view instead.

BUT if I click on the desktop and have the Finder currently active, pressing the 2nd button still brings up the preferences panel. So it's almost like having a 3rd button. 😉
