Well, I've been attempting to use the Helix plugin, and the results are....interesting. Not quite what I had in mind, but kinda interesting in an artsy-fartsy kind of way.
No matter what shape I use, the results are basically the same. I have no problem using follow-me, use it all the time, but with this I'm completely stumped as to what I'm doing wrong.
      Any suggestions?

      Steve,
it was meant to use Follow Me and Keep plugin.
not the native Follow Me tool. if i'm not mistaken.

this is what i got either from 2.1 or 1.5

      Screw test.jpg

if i'm not mistaken, some screws have pointed end. how would you achieve that with this plugin?
i remember something about screw articles on FineWoodworking, by someone called David Richards πŸ˜› . well, by skimming and not detailed reading. i'll see what the article might have to say about it.

      it looks great now.
i reinstalled XP after it crashed. when i left home for three months. didn't know who did it.
i thought there's no point of reinstalling IE 8 again. since i don't use it anyway.
      sorry for bothering you, Thomas.

πŸ‘Š i can't find my Maxwell anymore in the Recycle Bin. just read the info to use Silverlight 3-4, instead of 5 on the site. that's probably why it didn't work out for me.
anyone knows where to get Silverlight 3-4?

Oh and as far as plans for new ships go, I would recommend checking out the National Maritime Museum in London's ship plans collection. http://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections.html#csearch;searchTerm=*;authority=true;collectionGroup=subject-90352;collection=subject-90352
It includes ships from nations other than England as well

      hi there,
sorry for interrupting your discussion on Maxwell vs Twilight.
i've tried to remove my post, but cannot find the erase button.

anyway, if you already have v-ray with that kind of results,
what is the point discussing Maxwell vs Twilight?

      have a good time people.

      Yes, no doubt.

πŸ˜† can't you help yourself not to do that, Tom?

i've never heard anyone who could judge anyone else accordingly -theist, in this case- except those of messengers or prophets.
the rest are just left with what is written on in the "scriptures" and according the teachings, to distinguish or acknowledge others. but not to judge as if one is the law maker.
if one made a mistake, that mistake is the thing to count. not the person. since no one knows what one would become later.
who knows that later on, Jeff might become the next Pope πŸ˜†
