There has been cases where a bitmap texture has been corrupted and caused problems. It could be that you have one of these trouble textures in your model. No quick and easy way to find it, other than removing one by one. Or you could resave them all into another format.

hetauma... its intersting that you mention that a copy paste operation seemed to sort out the problem... I have experienced a similar 'roughening effect' of a smoothed mesh with vray bitmap texture assigned to it using the copy paste (to a different sketchup file) function before. Would i be right in guessing that the surface which has tbe grass texture applied to it was in fact copied into the file from which you attempted to render the final image?... Are you still by any chance using vray 1.05.30?...If so, then this might point to a known bug in which texture info does not transfer across sketchup files too well... in my case for all intensive purposes the vray material properties and soften edge settigns were the same but one rendered smooth and the other rough... I hear this has been sorted out in the new version... let hope you are not using the new version when this is occuring... Dave

Theres a plugin called SU animate that does just that, if you are willing to spend a few bucks. I'm currently looking for a different alternative for your problem, a way to assign a different transition time for each scene to make turns more "smooth". Finally theres Chris's camera recorder plugin where you can walk around corners and everywhere yourself, you need another program to convert the data export into a video file though.

If you go to your Component browser > In model and right click on any component, you can select "Properties" which will open the exact same window as the one you are in while creating the component. You can make all settings there. Note however that if you change the gluing/cutting plane, the already inserted components, though "inheriting" these changes, may not behave so so you may need to re-insert them.

Well, you say that the stamp tool is not an ideal solution - however all your description (what you want to achieve) is about how the stamp tool works and what it does. Is there really 4 metres difference in that building? As I can imagine, such a building wouldn't be placed on such a terrain with all the terrain built up / dug into around but the building itself would be somewhat on a sloping foundation. Note that you can always stamp a slanting face or even a collection of (joined) faces that are not coplanar - the only thing you cannot stamp is a face perpendicular to the terrain (i.e. basically vertical faces). See what I mean in attached: [image: 3Ywb_Stamp.jpg]

Hi Hetauma, hi folks. If you see the texture of the wall through the glass portion of the component, it is because the face of the wall has not been cut. This may be due to a non vertical wall or a warped wall or the component has snapped to some other geometry that is in front of the wall. Just ideas.
