Another new render. I did a photomatch Sketchup model of this for a 2D AutoCAD drawing (elevations) for a landmark district application in Denver. Project was halted. Decided to render it all out.

Another new render. I did a photomatch Sketchup model of this for a 2D AutoCAD drawing (elevations) for a landmark district application in Denver. Project was halted. Decided to render it all out.

Finished the front of the house. The rear view is posted elsewhere.
Rendered in D5 Render. This was supposed to be a landmark application for new windows in the rear of the house and a new brick wall fence along the side and rear property lines.
The crown moulding is done with Profile Builder 3 and the soffit details with the dentils was made using Profile Builder 3's assembly.

Some interior modeling and renderings for a house in Pacific Palisades. I'm working on this for myself and most of my work involves drafting. This I would consider my own interior design.

Something I designed on the fly while testing ReRender AI. This is D5 output with on some AI enhancement which is basically sharpening which I later added when scaling the renderings down in Photoshop. Anyway, I think it's an international style.
Modeling is Sketchup as is the topography. Windows and door are Flextools.

@L-i-am Hopefully they'll retain a consistent UI with 2025. I have no interest in the collaborative and AI features. I'll stick with my SU and D5 Render workflow.
The key will be if SU retains its usefulness as a modeling software including the operability of plugins. I'd like to provide them input but I think it would go in one ear and out the other.
I'd be happy if they left SU 2022 Pro alone but they're going to end geo location and 3D Warehouse features for "security reasons." I don't really use those much. Eventually I can see a complete "end of life" for 2022.
If they left SU 2025 pretty much as it is with 2024 and just fixed the icons I'd be content.
Based on a 70 ton truck in reconditioning manual from Strato Inc, Piscataway, NJ. 68 inch wheelbase and 33 inch diameter wheels. Needs brake system. Have some UP boxcar plans lined up.

Looks great, L i am. I seem to be doing a lot of free renderings as well lately. Mostly for practice. Sometimes I show it to the architect I do drafting for and doesn't go further than that. I guess after outsourcing we're all just waiting for AI to take over the universe. IMO most of the AI "art" I've seen looks like an illustration for the cover of a supermarket romance novel.
Originally modeled for a NPR render in 2011 for Chalet Colorado. I reworked the model and rendered it here in D5 Render.

This was the original render generated in SU with some Photoshop work.

@Bryan-K Thanks Bryan.
Some more goods. I want to create a hilly landscape but have a sudden burst of laziness.

@pixelcruncher said in Runaway train in the snow with the door and windows open!:
Very cool, how did you make the fire?
It's a D% Render fire particle. It's like a component that I just rotated horizontal.
House I designed today from the ground up just using Sketchup. It's under construction.

@L-i-am I fiddled with it for a while a few years ago. At the time it felt strange because I was used to the Thea Render interface but it's similar to D5 Render.
Here's the latest. Got the brake line blocked in. Other than adding the hand brake in the right rear and updating the trucks (which most untrained eyes won't notice) I'm almost done.
I created decals for the graphics on the sides. The background is from Bridge. FBX import.

Trying something new.
Based on an interior design by Timothy Corrigan for the Château de la Chevallerie. Not for commercial use, etc, etc.
A mixture of my own Sketchup modeling, D5 Render, Blenderkit and 3D Warehouse.

Killing time and whipped this up today using a design from an old house plan catalog.

Watched a documentary about unknown Florida and saw something that caught my interest. Simple design. Unfortunately beyond the reach of ordinary Americans.
