      Will03,

As a matter of composition, I like the sky but find the brightness and colour saturation of the lawn distracting. Moreover, since the front portion of the building is dark, the black foreground, road I presume, is denying the building the prominence it deserves save for the gold blank wall. I believe subdued tones in the lawn and road would help.

Boo, is this something technical about image pixels? after zooming beyond 2x?

Zoomed in on the image, there seems to be a slight vertical shift (see arrow tip of attached image). Just curious, it could very well be two consecutive shots of the same scene stitched together...

Sorry to have to hijack this thread but I just HAVE to seize this OPPORTUNITY to compliment Gaieus on his dedication to this forum. Gaieus, I am really amazed by your dedication, helpfulness, patience and knowledge. Your demeanour is perfectly suited to that of a forum administrator, irrespective of your mastery (of which I have no doubt about) of the software that this community members use.

Same thought here but without the need for words that have to be incomplete πŸ˜„. No offence please, Frederik.

On topic, I agree with Remus on the glass material. A little bit reflectivity as well as transparency would help so that it does not look foggy.

Granted. You personally get four more days of six hours each this weekend, equating to one normal full day. In order to maintain the laws of nature, you forfeit 29th February 2008. So your calendar goes out of sync with the rest of the world after that date.

Granted. I just asked him and he said you (Ross) are most welcome so long as you pay all expenses for his visit to Canada together with his three-wheeled motorcycle thingie, by first class return flight.

I wish my story telling fun game thread is as popular as this thread. πŸ˜†

Granted, your today is 48 hours and your client did not call up but your computer acted up and is just performing at 25% of its normal speed and your client sends a message saying that he expects everything ready by 10 tomorrow morning and he is still on a 24 hour day.

Granted, you got a one way ticket to an African game reserve of your choice, but just the ticket, no money (paper or plastic), no communication, no nothing, just your instinct to get back.

I wish this thread wasn't so addicting. Thank God, its one of those very, very few things addictive which is not harmful.

These left me feeling quite... how shall I put it... small, silly and put down. The ironic thing is I was in effect an innocent bystander. No one from AIA ever contacted me to ask if they could use the picture, and they certainly didn't mention that when publishing the criticisms.
      Fred

      Mr Bartels,

Please don't let those comments bother you. We architects need to think out of the box, not to be always bogged down by build-ability, the finer details. Fantasy is one good starting point; the concepts, ideas will eventually crystallise, be refined down the road.

Of course its bad that they didn't inform you about using your images. Anyway glad to see your name and work there.

Doesn't matter that this might have been an old topic from the old forum, post dated. But the link is incomplete, so I or the rest of this community (late comers) can't find out what one of our members have been recognised for (see the "... antasy.cfm" which is outside the link code).

So what's there to be jealous about..?? πŸ˜†

      Frederik,
I don't mean to rub you the wrong way (or any which way for that matter πŸ˜„ ). I had struggled to find the right word for what I wanted to say.

I had used the word "jealous" as an expression of possesiveness, as in a jealous girlfriend or as in the third definition in Merriam Webster dictionary:

3: vigilant in guarding a possession <new colonies were jealous of their new independence β€” Scott Buchanan>
