One of my pet thoughts, thoroughly unconfirmed, is that things might work better in imperial. Importing metric files might introduce further inaccuracies due to the conversions involved. Once this suggestion was strongly turned down by Jim Holman, but it still remains that the floating-point accuracy of SU is not as strong as in the heavyweight CAD apps. And I understand that the DWG/DXF importer is third-party code. Possibly I am still quite wrong...

CraigD, "Tropical Garden" by Stu Mayhew displayed in the KT site gallery is photorealistic even from 18" away!!

Tom, at 974 x 623 pixels resolution and "PhotonMap+Caustics - High + AA 0.3" setting it took 33 minutes on a P4 3ghz 512mb RAM and 128mb VRAM.

Fletch, Wow! a comment from a KT guru! I had also noticed those two light behaviour (KT Lights - Ceiling3) and tried changing to spotlights but didn't like it either. Thanks for the pointer on PS shadow/highlights.

I've had a few builders who [try to] do work like that !

I remember riding my motorcycle from home to watch the first British prototype land at it's test airfield at the end of it's maiden flight from Filton (Bristol) where it was built.

I also worked with a guy who was on flight testing. He had a wealth of stories about being on Concorde flying around the world!

I just made it from two Latin words: Gaius (a common name - abbreviated as Gai when referring to a relevant writer of Roman Law) and eius (meaning his/hers). It's a long story why it was made like that but have proven to be a good selection in this "Internet World" - there are not too many people with "nicks" (or "screen names") like this so I need not change my name to Gaieus007 or such...

One of the ancient Roman "oaths" or what when a woman married a man sounded like this: "Ubi tu Gaius, ego Gaia" - "Where you (are) Gaius, I (am) Gaia".
Gaia is the ancient Greek godess of the Earth but this has nothing to do with this ceremonial oath.
