Round all the way up both top and bottom. The foot part at the end will stay mostly flat with maybe a smooth bevel on it.

In case someone comes along and wonders why soften AND hide took care of it... The geometry had some coplanar edges which are what hiding got rid of. An option to hiding them would be to tick the box for "Soften coplanar" or better, simply delete those edges. [image: 263W_ss.png]

@Cotty: Thanks for the backup. I was not sure I was reading the original post correctly. I actually had downloaded and experimented briefly with ThruPaint, but it has been quite a while.
