Dittos Pixero! Good design doesn't mean that something just looks cool on day 1. It'd better come with a lifetime supply of canned air. Overall, A for aesthetics, D for design. -Brodie

Cool, it's always good that problems like this are brought up. Next time I won't feel too dummy!

Ive owned a car for about a year now, and the rising fuel costs are making me reconsider owning it. There is no parking at work, and parking on the street outside is about €16 per day (and technically, i have to move it every 3 hours). Commute by bicycle, its the only option! I cycle 20km a day to work, 3 times faster than a bus stuck in traffic or in the car. Always arrive on time too.. So I have a car sitting at home. I think it might be time for it to go, but, unfortunately, nobody here wants to buy cars these days. Damn.

Well, anyone can find those holes (called 'registration') but as I see the team never leaves a spammer to me (if you knew what a nice feeling is to press the 'Ban' button on them)

I swap files between PC and Mac all the time, and I have seen no problems so far.

Buyers and accountants at some companies regard it almost as a matter of honour NOT to pay the agreed amount. If you have to deal with one of those, plan on NOT getting the final 10%. If you do get it then it's more money for beer. Talking to one supplier I deal with he told me he knows he'll be kept hanging around for money "so I price the jobs accordingly!"

Hey Fletch, Thanks for the reply. I have the same camera position, I'm working on 24 alternative designs for an entry. So, it would have been nice to automate the export process. Glenn

Thanks for the responses. I suggested to my client that she investigate the equipment before the presentation. I gave her jpegs 300dpi 10" (inches) wide. Glenn

Thanks for the reply....gave me another idea...DWG viewer. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?id=6703438&siteID=123112 Import dwg into SU, then use the viewer to see what is missing. Glenn downloaded, installed, looks like it will do the trick. I just need to see the notes in the dwg file about materials, etc.

I have 87 icons / files (small files, normally TXT files) on my desktop, it is set to 1680 x 1050 resolution. I have no problems with SU. I guess it depends on how many processes you have running in the background (how much your OS and cache is taxed). The less the better.

Al, Thanks for the info. I agree with item C. As well as the thought behind using Adobe. The file size limit kinda scares me, but at this point it's only 7 meg, so not sure what will happen by the time I'm finished? Oh, just thought of a way to get the file size down, delete the countour lines, as all I need is the topo (I'll rename the file just in case). I think I'm going to try the trial version and inform my client about these issues and let them see a sample. The other option is for static images with mouse over "zoom" for some key features of the site. Thanks again to everyone for the help. Glenn update: purging the contour lines cut 3mg off the file size. I have some 2d property & road lines to purge after I'm finished with the drape. So, the 3d pdf is looking viable again.

@unknownuser said: If you have Autocad, you could use arc text, explode the text and import into sketchup. Robert Good http://www.digitalnursery.net Great idea. Then simply extrude. Cyberdactyl
