      Hello,
Anyone have some ideas for image: size, resolution, and format for a client that has to make a Powerpoint presentation on a 7’ screen?
There are 5 images, straight SU output (no sketchy lines, etc).
I’m not sure what is best?
      Thank you,
      Glenn

does he really use a 7’ screen. that is quite small for a presentation, dont you think?

well, for such a small screen it would be sensible to use images in the size of the screen's highest resolution - I asume that will be around 480 x 234 pixels. larger images wouldn't make sense, because they would slow down the presentation unnecessarily.

if he uses the 7’ screen (eg. of a laptop) to connect it to a video projector however, it would be advisable to refer to the highest resolution of the latter (800 x 600 or higher).

as a format I would choose jpeg or similar to keep the filesize small.

Glenn im guessing if this is a PP presentation on a 7' screen then this will be a wall mounted screen and a projector. The image is then magnified onto the screen so naturally you lose some definition, clarity and colour.

I suggest just creating good quality images as you would for a presentation and all should be ok.
I have just created a PP presentation myself with quite a few SU images in which I am presenting tomorrow morning. I tested a few slides last week and they are about as good as I could expect for this style of presenting.

If this is not via a projector Glenn then just ignore what I have wrote πŸ˜„

              Thanks for the responses.
I suggested to my client that she investigate the equipment before the presentation.
I gave her jpegs 300dpi 10" (inches) wide.
