The question is the same of the title. The problem is that 3d text has too much thickness and look bad when displayed in Layout! I'd like to use dimensions but I cant figured it how.
Help me please

2 simple things:
Do you mean "Barcelona chair"?
However, great model, really
I don't know how much that could be usefull for you, but...

Great model, tought in every single part and very precise. Awesome
I'm using a Dell PRECISION M6300, 2,4 GHz Core2duo T7700, 3GB Ram, Nvidia Quadro FX 1600 M. I've never had a matter, It works fine and it is super fast using sketchup. The price?
1700 โฌ. Purchased in Feb. 2008. Then it was the cheapest notebook with that specs.
Now you can configure your Precision even with X7900 Extreme cpu and the newest FX 3600 M Nvidia OpenGl graphic card.
So I suggest you to consider a laptop like this.
Thanks, I hoped that there would have been another way to do that but it seems that's the only way to go trough the problem!
I have created a couple of scenes(top, front and left views, with dimensions)of a model within SketchUp. When I put them into Layout I can't align that views exactly so that the front view is straight above to the top one and the left view at the same height of the front one.
I attached a pdf to clarify what I try to explain here...
Could you give me an advice?
Thanks in advance
Certo sarebbe un passo in piรน verso la conquista della modellazione per sketchup. Senza contare che potrebbe integrarsi in un unico strumento con il "follow me" tool
I perfectly know the poll won't have any effect on Google Sketchup development policy, but however it's interesting to see what are customers most wanted improvements
I put into this poll a couple of macro categories, but the list could be enlarged. So suggestions are welcome.

Looking at lewis feedback about his contacts with SU, I think we should be more "readable" with our needs in term of evolution with SU.
That would help us to ask the good questions to SU team, and would clear and classify all the needs of every one.
I appreciate like magic these brilliant ruby that I test, and stare at ingeniosity of their authors, but most of them stay dead in my computer because I often have no use for them.
But I would not do without them...
- The first job would be to classify in a few groups the SU users: architects, carpenters, designers, mechanicians..
- The second would be to define each particular groups needs in term of functions
- the third would be to study the enhacements in SU, not all in one bunch, but maybe in packages by category , and have a suggestion about how to gather all.
That would give with SU team a consistent speech in order to get consistent answers. I was really hunged to Coen thread, and desappointed with the banal answers.
I second Kwisten with his astonishement about one of a SU remark so we may have results in being directive
A work Coen Naninck could do with a couple of his polls...
Excellent idea anglaret!
I'm not very found of it but I think windowizer could transform a flat mesh into a 3d structural grid... like yours.
That's all...
With this incredible plugin Sketchup has filled up the gap with other organic modelling softwares.
Thanks so much, Whaat...
It's shame that knife tool causes crashes whenever you work in parallel projection!
Here is my 5 minutes playing around. Not so good, but I want to post it just to show how simple become creating organic shapes in a couple of minutes.

Thanks again!

It is improving weekly.
Any suggestion are welcome!
ThanksRegards

It's really really promising script
but let me ask you somthing...
1_Is it possible to lock some edges to make constraints to geometry?
2_Can you edit parametrically only the lenght of a segment or also the angle between 2 edges, the surface or somthing else?
3_ Does it work only on edges or also on arcs and curves?
Thanks for putting your time in developing good scripts like that

Thanks, Scott..!!
I've just placed an order... They look really good, so it's going to be interesting to see them...

very good tastes, I like listening the same stuff...
