The furniture is better but you appear to have pictures above the windows, what is that all about?

      Mike Amos :
I just wanted to have some pictures on the wall for decoration. The other wall has the clock decoration. Just to let you know, I take no offense at your misunderstanding.

I really like your scene. πŸ‘
I have one thing to comment. Your background is in like blue specter of light, like golden hour or similar, so making this light more blue would make this scene realistic.
But than again I maybe misunderstood your scene in terms of colors. πŸ’š

      nlipovac :
Thanks for your comments. I just wanted it to be a late afternoon scene.

      Hi everybody :

This topic really isn't about a bug. I wasn't sure where to post this. I recently found out about Google Earth's demise. First, when I opened the G E software, it wouldn't connect to the server....with an error message stating that it WOULD work, but only with local cached items. Then I found a web-page about Google Earth Enterprises closing shop. Anyway..........if I have my information correct, this does not effect Sketchup. Being it's a separate "entity"....correct ? garystan

Interesting, but light poles seen way too thick (and no debris, graffiti, broken lights?)

I make sure there is no graffiti....garbage on the ground ! But, you gotta look at this way........Hurricane Sandy won't be able to knock those light poles down

I was wondering about a way to "insert" the pic into the body of the topic. Rather than using the "attachment" feature. Just to make sure that anyone who view my topic can see the pic. Thanks.......garystan

was trying to look at the positives with my first post. your reply makes me think you missed the point I was trying to make. google cabin and cabin interiors and maybe you'll better get what I'm driving at. When I look at your render I like the lighting, panorama . colors of the various materials but it doesn't say "cabin in the mountains" to me , more like a condo.... I think the average person viewing the image would be hard pressed to say it evokes the feel of a country cabin.

Clean modeling, nice render. Like your panorama thru the windows. Just got to say we must travel to waaaay different mountains. Been in a lot of cabins in my life , never seen one that looked like that inside!!! Still it's a very nice clean render.

           tuna1957 :
I tried to give it a "country" and a relaxed feel of a mountain cabin.

I agree with Mike there's an element of a Hobbit house with the scaling. The curtains don't look like they pan the windows.

      Rich O'Brien :
I created the "hanging chair" a little large, to show that it's sort of a cacoon to relax in.....big enough to stretch out in. And I made the windows as picture windows....to show off the view.

    • Projecting a Material

      Hi everybody :

Can a projected material be reversed ? The reason I ask is that, I'm making a triangular banner. On the "front" side (with the point facing to the right), I can easily paint it on. Then "position" the material. But, I'd like to be able to "paint" the reverse side so I can use the banner in either (horizontal) direction. And be able to put the material on this reverse side....in the reverse horizontal direction. That way I can use the banner pointing either right or left. Thanks

                                                                     garystan
