      Hi everybody :

This topic really isn't about a bug. I wasn't sure where to post this. I recently found out about Google Earth's demise. First, when I opened the G E software, it wouldn't connect to the server....with an error message stating that it WOULD work, but only with local cached items. Then I found a web-page about Google Earth Enterprises closing shop. Anyway..........if I have my information correct, this does not effect Sketchup. Being it's a separate "entity"....correct ? garystan

It doesn't matter what happens to Google Earth as far as SketchUp 8 is concerned since Add Location hasn't worked for nearly a year and Google hasn't accepted Sketchup models for GE for a long time. Since SU2014, SketchUp hasn't used Google Earth at all. It gets locations from Google Maps instead.
