TIG yes, thanks; tried everything I can think of in IE (it is fully up to date as is my OS - I always let windows update do it's thing) I reset the security parameters in IE and checked in the JAVA config & all seems activated as it always was
Might this explain the cause?

To me it looks very similar to this issue: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=522120#p522120
Please read TIG's expanation there it might help.
The goal of this "login popup" is to inform new visitors about the membership options and to make it obvious for them that they should register as a member to be able to use all the features of SketchUcation.
It was set in a way that it popped up only for not logged in visitors hourly. So if some not logged in user visited the site again after an hour he/she got the popup again until he registered/logged in.
I do understand that this could be annoying to frequent user members who do use direct-links to access the site. Therefore now I changed the repetition time from an hour to 1 week. So if you do not erase your cookies now you won't see again this popup for a week.
I'll also check what can I do to get rid of this box in case of mobile devices.
You can resize it, you can position it off-screen but I do not know any method for minimizing it unless you somehow manage to trigger a mouse-click on the minimize button.

I've just tried to get "More info" & it will not work
with any of them.
Hmmm.... Interesting. Do you have Javascript enabled in your internet explorer? The button uses an onclick event for opening up the "More info" what might not work if Javascript is disabled...
Done.
Now the "More" info button shows up only for those plugins what have either a link to a topic or it's details are filled out by the author.
If you can still find button with no link, please let me know the exact name of that plugin so I can investigate the case.
There are some plugins where the plugin authors neither gave a "More info" link nor filled out their plugin "Overview" detiails. In these cases the "More info" button leads nowhere. I'll fix it ASAP in a way that in these cases "More info" button won't show up.
Sorry for the delayed answer. I've noticed this thread just now.

Gabor - my plugins were manually downloaded in chrome and copy pasted in sketchup version 8 and as TIG said those don't get recognized by plugin store since they are not downloaded via store interaface. I'm not understanding your statement.
John,
I suppose you have the SketchUcation Pluginstore Plugin installed? ( http://sketchucation.com/resources/plugin-store-download )
If yes, and you launch it, you will see a list of the latest 20 plugins. If in the first dropdown you select the "Full list" option, it will show you the list of all plugins available in the PluginStore.
If you scroll down in this list to the plugin what you want to install and press the "Autoinstall" button, the plugin will be installed. It will also register your PluginStore download and next time you'll be able to see this new plugin in your Bundles list.
@john2 said:
So, manual installation is only option?
You can install those plugins from the PluginStore plugin's main page by pressing the "Autoinstall" button. That way they will get into the list of your downloaded from PluginStore files and therefore into your bundles. So next time when you need to port them to an other device you won't have to worry about them.

What plugins are asking for a yeas each load?
All of them. I'm 99 percent sure.
Some of them i recall are
Weld
Fredo tools
Extrude toolset
Curviloft
2d tools
Cleanup
As I see only 2Dtools and Extrude Toolset are missing from your bundles, the others you mentioned are in both bundles of yours.
Just to clarify the problem: Is it that when you click the "Autoinstall all plugins in the Bundle" icon not all the plugins what are displayed in the bundle installing properly? Or you are missing plugins from the bundles what you think should be in there?
If the first is the true then I'm puzzled as your v2014 bundle shows that all the plugins from your list above what are in the v8 bundle are installed on your v2014.

Can you please check the SketchUcation servers if there is any conflict with my user id “john2”?
I've checked: no problems at server-side.
But:
You're right: SketchUcation PluginStore lists and displays only those Plugins that are in the PluginStore.
So it won't list with Plugins obtained from other places.
Maybe later we will be able to extend the functionality in this direction, but currently it deals only with Plugins obtained [or obtainable] from the SketchUcation PluginStore.
Also:
If an author has changed the name of his Plugin's .rb file since the release you have installed, the Plugin won't be recognized in the check, because Bundles use the current .rb file names to identify your Installed Plugins.
I've checked your Bundles on the server and I see that there are only 3 Plugins difference between the 2 Bundles.
Your v8 install have 3 more Plugins than you have in v2014.
Are those the differences what you're missing?
If yes then we can investigate further.
But if you're missing Plugins that were obtained from other sources, then the current PluginStore version won't handle them.
@Dan: Thank you very much for the suggestions and for trying out the plugin.

.. but was wondering if it was added into HTML 5+ ? (.. so it could be cross-platform.)
I doubt that in the near future there will be any cross-browser compatible "HTML only" way to implement TAB control. But there are some nice frameworks like "Bootstrap" that implement it in a cross-browser compatible way by using Javascript and .css.

...in by the menu, as most users want to know if a certain key combo has been assigned, or if a certain command or tool has a shortcut.
Thank you Dan. It is a very good idea to have multiply views (sortings) of the shortcuts.
You might have noticed that we'd already come out with the beta version of the tool: http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=shortcutter

Can this include a tools setting as well so when you download from the cloud it syncs not only your shortcuts but your toolbar settings as well.
Cheers...
We would like to extend the capabities of the Sketchucation Tools toolset in the future. As you've seen it is under continous developement and new and newer features are introduced release by release.
Certainly the toolbar settins is an area what will be addressed in the near future. At the moment I can't tell you if that will be combined with the shortcuts element of the toolset or with the bundles element or it will be a standelone tool.
Watch the future releases of Shetchucation Plugins!
Version 0.3.0 is in the pluginstore now. The new version addressed several MAC related issues found in 0.2.0. Please test. Especially MAC users.

It would be great to be able to edit the shortcuts right inside SU.
It's among the plans for further dev.

With very long loading time, then crushed.
What does "crushed" mean? Error message? Bugsplat? Frozen SketchUp?
Sorry but we never met this kind of error so we need some more info to get a clue about the nature of the problem.
