Error in sketchup

Hi John, I should have been more specific.... Not everything in the Plugin Store or the EWH is 2014 compliant. To your exact errors, someone else will have to reply.
hmm....so migrating to sketchup 2014 is still more lengthy process than I imagined
, there were only 12 plugins or so that I copied. Guess if I copy the entire collection of my plugins, I'll have to ask/search similar errors on this forum
. It will take hours!!
-
Now you understand why I haven't done it... Some plugins were made by people who are no longer using the software or are too busy to update them. They may be lost to time or until someone makes them anew. Working on other people's plugins is a bit of a gray area.

Looks like one of your problems is the rotated box tool. If you look in the SUcation Store, it was last updated last year. So perhaps it isn't compatible. Each entry gives an update date. However that doesn't mean it won't work. Looks like you had problems with two plugins, and their names are in the error report.
Unfortunately you'll have to look around for more info on the tool--the link in the SUcation store for more info on the rotated box tool is bogus. So a search in the forum gives this: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323%26amp;t=45806 Oh it's been updated. Just didn't make it into the store yet.
On Compo Spray You can see in the store it has not been updated in a long time. My process was, click to the Forum thread. Look at the latest entries--another person has the same problem--and no answer is given. You can assume this one will continue to give you trouble. I also checked at the ruby "library depot", where D. Bur also offers plugins, and it is not updated there.

Get the SketchUcation Plugin Store Toolset and install it on the new and previous version of SketchUp...
Open it on both.
Then AutoInstall the newest compatible versions of your Plugins using the PluginsStore dialog [MySetup > Bundles] - which lets you AutoInstall [Sync] all of your Plugins from the earlier version into v2014...Restart SketchUp v2014 to effect all changes...

How to use this bundle system? In 2014 version the bundle shows the plugins that i manually installed in 2014 version. How to get the bundle window access my old plugins?
And also, I am unable to use pluginstore web interface in my sketchup 8. It's working fine in skethcup 2014.
On smustard, the plugins that are listed there only and nowhere else, are there any plugins there that are not compatible?
And while syncing, the sync process will only do installation in 2014 folder right? It won't mess around with my original set of Sketchup 8 plugins I guess?

Your v8 SketchUcation PluginStore dialog is looking for a now discontinued URL - it has 'expired'.
It's easy to fix....
Just download the latest v2.6.0 RBZ archive for it from the Resources menu above, and then use the Preferences > Extensions > Install... button to reinstall it in v8.
Now restart SketchUp v8 and you should have a fully working version of it again.
Open the PluginStore dialog once in v8 to register your Installed plugins for that computer/version.
Now when you open MySetup > Bundles in v2014, as well as the list of the installed v2014's Plugins there should be a list of the installed v8 Plugins...
You can Duplicate and edit that v8 Bundle - e.g. to remove ones you rarely use etc, if desired.
Then you can use that Bundle to AutoInstall all of those Plugins into v2013.
The process does NOT affect v8's plugins - it's simply using them as a reference...The PluginStore only lists those Plugins available from SCF, so any that are exclusive to EWH or Smustard need to be separately downloaded/installed...
Many Plugins are compatible with v2014 [e.g. all of thomthom's, Fredo's and mine should be] - some of Didier Bur's are not, but they have a simple edit fix [but some need more updating!].
If you come across an incompatible Plugin from a current download, report it in the Plugin's thread [there might as be a 'fix' advised in recent posts if you are lucky]. Respectfully nag the author about an update - remember these are mainly 'free', so there is no obligation for continuing support for SketchUp updates etc... -

I opened both my sketchup 2014 and version 8 windows.
Then I went to the bundle option like you said.
But sketchup is only showing my the plugins of 2014 that I installed from the plugin store of sketchucation online. [ The ones that get pasted in the C:\users\roaming....etc. folder]
It doesn't show my version 8 plugins that are pasted in program files folder. The window that I see is the same for version 8 sketchup and 2014 sketchup. I have logged in and keep my internet enabled but still I see this. What's wrong?
How do I make the version 8 bundle visible
-
You need to have the latest PluginStore Toolset installed on every ComputerName you use, AND for each SketchUp version you have installed, and which you want to get included in the PluginStore > MySetup > Bundles listings.
Open SketchUp v8.
Open the PluginStore in v8.
Close it.
That should have registered your v8 Bundle with the SCF server.Open SketchUp v2014.
Open the PluginStore in v2014.
Now there should be Plugins Bundles listed for at least v8 and v14 - for the same ComputerName? -

Now there should be Plugins Bundles listed for at least v8 and v14 - for the same ComputerName? That’s exactly what I did. There was only one bundle showing up with pcname-14.
So I did this, I opened SU 8. That 14 bundle was showing up. So I installed it.
Everytime I clicked, Yes for an answer
“do you want to install this plugin, it will have access to your..etc.”Don’t know why they’ve written auto install when everytime I have to click yes.
So in plugin store, now I have two bundles.
One 14 bundles having very few plugins
One v8 bundle having exactly the same plugins installed from the version 8 bundle. The problem remains the same.
My full collection of version 8 that I”ve gathered over the years is still not showing up. I have the latest version of store installed. I can browse easily the store, it’s otherwise working fine, even showing my profile name and how many posts I have made.
Can you please check the Sketchucation servers if there is any conflict with my user id “john2”?

I've checked: no problems at server-side.
But:
You're right: SketchUcation PluginStore lists and displays only those Plugins that are in the PluginStore.
So it won't list with Plugins obtained from other places.
Maybe later we will be able to extend the functionality in this direction, but currently it deals only with Plugins obtained [or obtainable] from the SketchUcation PluginStore. Also:
If an author has changed the name of his Plugin's .rb file since the release you have installed, the Plugin won't be recognized in the check, because Bundles use the current .rb file names to identify your Installed Plugins.I've checked your Bundles on the server and I see that there are only 3 Plugins difference between the 2 Bundles.
Your v8 install have 3 more Plugins than you have in v2014.
Are those the differences what you're missing?
If yes then we can investigate further.
But if you're missing Plugins that were obtained from other sources, then the current PluginStore version won't handle them. -
I'll get back to my pc in evening, but I'm confident there are more than 3 plugins that I'm missing. And please fix those popups that one has to answer yes individually for every plugin.

What plugins are asking for a yeas each load?

All of them. I'm 99 percent sure.
Some of them i recall are
Weld
Fredo tools
Extrude toolset
Curviloft
2d tools
CleanupI'm outside currently, get back to my pc in evening. So will post the screenshot most probably.

CleanupAs I see only 2Dtools and Extrude Toolset are missing from your bundles, the others you mentioned are in both bundles of yours.
Just to clarify the problem: Is it that when you click the "Autoinstall all plugins in the Bundle" icon not all the plugins what are displayed in the bundle installing properly? Or you are missing plugins from the bundles what you think should be in there?
If the first is the true then I'm puzzled as your v2014 bundle shows that all the plugins from your list above what are in the v8 bundle are installed on your v2014.

The RBZ Auto-Install 'prompt' cannot be stopped - it's hard-wired into SketchUp.
But it does vary between SketchUp versions...
You do not need to click a button, you can press a key to have the same effect...In all versions it appears if you use the Preferences > Extensions > Install... button
In v2014 it does not appear with any Auto-Installations, when done using the API.
In v2013 it appears just once at the start for the first Auto-Installation, when done using the API - there are no subsequent ones in a multiple-Auto-Install.
BUT with v8 it appears for each and every Auto-Install - including for multiple ones - it cannot be side-stepped: if it could be we would have done it.So, if you stick with v8 you have to accept its limitations/foibles...
If we have no record of you downloading or AutoInstalling a Plugin's RBZ from the PluginStore, then it will not be included in a Computers/Versions Bundle, listed under MySetUp.
So, if you have manually downloaded a Plugin from elsewhere, including directly from its thread [as some files have not been moved over entirely to the PluginStore, and continue to appear in parallel] - rather than getting it from the PluginStore itself - then we have no way of recording that, and so it isn't listed in your Bundle. -

Okay.
So, manual installation is only option? Or if I copy paste my plugins from v8 to v14, that should be no problem I suppose.
pluginstore copies from Su forum into our c:\users...etc, etc, folder only, puts correct files in to the correct place [for v2014]
and i'm also going to do that.
[for v2014]
@gabor, I got my answer now. The plugins are not getting listed because I copy pasted in sketchup 8, that's why. I never installed any plugin using plugin store in version 8. I just did installation yesterday only when I posted this.

You can install those plugins from the PluginStore plugin's main page by pressing the "Autoinstall" button. That way they will get into the list of your downloaded from PluginStore files and therefore into your bundles. So next time when you need to port them to an other device you won't have to worry about them.

Gabor - my plugins were manually downloaded in chrome and copy pasted in sketchup version 8 and as TIG said those don't get recognized by plugin store since they are not downloaded via store interaface. I'm not understanding your statement.

John,
I suppose you have the SketchUcation Pluginstore Plugin installed? ( http://sketchucation.com/resources/plugin-store-download )If yes, and you launch it, you will see a list of the latest 20 plugins. If in the first dropdown you select the "Full list" option, it will show you the list of all plugins available in the PluginStore.
If you scroll down in this list to the plugin what you want to install and press the "Autoinstall" button, the plugin will be installed. It will also register your PluginStore download and next time you'll be able to see this new plugin in your Bundles list.
