      No, not in the current version. For what purpose would you use that? If for printing out maybe a .pdf would be better which might be in some of the next versions if needed. (Well, Ctrl+P does the printing job until it is implemented...)

      Not specifically for printing but possibly for including in a tutorial or other web page about using SketchUp. It's too large to get into a single screen shot so I was thinking maybe I could work from the HTML page.

      The problem with the HTML is: As this webdialog uses loads of .css stuff (created by Rich) you couldn't do anything with the .html even if you could download it without the corresponding .css files.

      I was wondering about the update system; it's not working as I would expect.

      The update system in 2.5.1 compares your user's latest downloaded plugin version to the curent available version in the store. If there is any difference the plugin will show up in the update list.

      So:

      1. The plugin won't show up in the update list if you haven't downloaded the prevous version from the PluginStore.
      2. The plugin won't show up in the update list if you have updated it on an other device. (As in this case the latest download by you is up-to date)

      We will refine this in the next (2.6) version by adding your device ID to the comparasion.

      I've entered the following lines in to the ruby console for the test:
      ` dlg = UI::WebDialog.new("TEST", true,"TEST", 739, 641, 150, 150, true);

      #UI::WebDialog:0xb4e49d8
      dlg.set_html('<html><head></head><body><div id="trans_L8"></div></body></html>')
      nil
      dlg.show
      true
      dlg.execute_script %Q(document.getElementById('trans_L8').innerHTML='Long';)
      true
      dlg.execute_script %Q(trans_L8.innerHTML='Short';)
      true`
      If somebody wants to try it with other version combinations...

      My quick test with Sketchup v2014, IE 11 shows that both forms work. Have no information about other versions.

    • RE: Does everyone see this many ads on their screen?

      The top-middle one is definitely SketchUcation Ad, the Ad Machine one under the posts is also.
      The left column is definitely not from SketchUcation and the bottom one also seems to me as if something overwrote the SketchUcation ad there.
      So something is definitely injecting ads into your browser what are not SketchUcation ads.

      EDIT: Do you have this experience only on sketchucation pages or on any other websites as well?

    • RE: Model 'Tea Tin' for Pay

      IMO Ely862me's post shed a completely new light to this topic. She didn't really need a model of a Tea Tin.

      She needed somebody who could demonstrate that he/she could complete the task precisely, exactly as specified, quickly for a decent price. As Ely862me stated it was a job interview.

      Of couse nobody knew this at the beginning. Even I tried to model this tin as a learning lesson but when Frederik posted his version it was far better then my attempt.

      If we take a look at it as a job interview it might explain her behaviour. Anyhow this was a very interesting, informative and useful thred for me and probably for others as well.

      Thank you to everybody who participated. 😄

      Hi Ken,
      In the future releases we plan to implement such a feature you're looking for. Until then in the "My Downloads" list you can see those plugins what you've ever downloaded from the pluginstore on any computer. At the moment no feature to port the "My installs" but it is on our "To Do List".

      a query.
      In version 2, the list of recent plugin could see a list of all plugin chronologically ordered.
      In version 2.5, the list of recent plugin, you can only see the last 20 plugin. this feature will ever change?

      In v2 you also should have seen only the last 20 plugins in the recent list. Only the full list lists all the plugins in the store. (Therefore it takes some time to load...)

      @sketchydog said:

      Thanks. What's the difference between an rb and an rbs file?

      .rb is pure Ruby text file. Human readable. .rbs is an encoded (scrambled) Ruby file. Not human readable.

      @sketchydog said:

      Also, technically, is there a difference in the terminology "plugin" and "extension"?

      TIG answered this better than I could:

    • RE: Issue with installed plugins not being available...

      Typically plugins have one .rb or .rbs file in the Plugins folder and have a subfolder where all the other files are stored. When you startup SU those .rb and .rbs files are loaded which are in the Plugins folder (not the ones in the subfolders).

      An easy way to install and keep your plugins up to date is using the Pluginstore plugin: http://sketchucation.com/resources/plugin-store-download

      If you want to install your plugins in other folders than the plugins folder, Fredo's additional plugin folders tool is great help in that:
      http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=000_AdditionalPluginFolders

      I hope it answers your questions.
