RE: [Plugin] Selection Toys
yup the thread was called [Req] Similar groups to Components, i bumped it for your viewing pleaure.

[Req] Viewporter
Thomthom, i think this ones for you because your becoming my personal ruby script genie (and your a vray-head)but i would appreciate help from anyone: with vray theres a handy little option in the output tab called "get view aspect" where i can squash my entire sketchup window to a very long horizontal shot, now i can lock the aspect ratio (even save the scene) to preserve the view and take my model home to work on, but with different monitor sizes i never see entirly what im rendering until render time, in maxwel render (or fry? theyre both the same to me) they have grey transparent bars that appear on the SU display showing the limits of what will be rendered, any way to get this as a standalone ruby???
interestingly: with maxwell (or fry?) if u apply those grey bars (or whatever theyre called) they are still visible on any computer that opens that file even if that PC doesnt have maxwell installed.

RE: [Plugin] Selection Toys
wow another old request of mine you've made a reality, so it converts all "similar" groups into instances of a component?!!! i wonder if i would be the only one to make use of this script when i made this request i got a lot of technique suggestions

RE: [Plugin] SCF PowerToolbar (09.Sep.2010)
is that bevel tool the same as sketchy bevel? is it a new version?

RE: [Plugin] SCF PowerToolbar (09.Sep.2010)
Hi Cad-daddy
awsome set again, a comment about the handrails, never used it before but now see its usefullness, wouldnt it be better if the posts are components as the simple rectangle or tube is far too simple for my liking and would be indeed handy if i could just go into one and dump my own baluster??

RE: Cloth tool in sketchup?
wouldnt it be possible to make a ruby that would take a mesh (like a dress or some kind of garment) and place all the necessary sketchy physics joints needed to allow the mesh to be "dropped" onto a surface like a bed or couch???

RE: [Plugin] Mirror UV Mapping (1.0.3)

RE: [Plugin] Mirror UV Mapping (1.0.3)
Quote: I've discovered that it doesn't handle faces with less than three points. When importing X-Frog trees the leaf tends to be split in half forming two triangles. So until I've corrected this, make sure you enable Merge Coplanar Faces in the Import Options
do you mean four points? u cant get a face with 2 points

RE: Fractal Tree Maker for SketchUp - Free add-on
i second that request.

RE: Google Sketchup Pro 7 is out
in the Ruby discussion forum, theres the ruby wishlist by that guy from google, can anyone confirm that ruby scriptors will be able to do more than they could with su6? or that any of the wishes were implemented>?

Layer by material
i ran a search and found nothing, but im sure this would have been requested or explored already and i appologize for any repeats but is there a ruby that put all geometry with a certain material onto its own layer?

RE: Boolean operations
but intersect doesnt automatically create/delete the faces that are booleaned, sure there are techniques for doing this but rubie scripts make it all easier... i think it would be very handy
