Well, there are contests whose rules are defined by others - we can only help connecting people (such as get Google to "join" the contest and offer some Pro versions as prizes). In other cases, we may influence the rules better of course.

OK, it seems one issue has been solved. The other one - sketchupbbs - is still waiting for resolution and since the concerned party has done nothing but closed his site/forum from collecting evidence of his piracy so far, he has been permanently banned for the time being (further steps are now carried out by other concerned, 3rd parties). What I think is a reasonable step. As already stated in other topics, the main focus will not anymore be in geo-modeling, and currently the low engagement of Google in Sketchup and the not real cross-platform compatibility set a limit to Sketchup. But I think Sketchup will completely change its appearance in some years. Chrome OS (= a browser OS) and 3d in the browser can initiate a new 3d hype and need an efficient modeling tool - maybe in the browser. (I'm not a programer, but I worry about if javascript is efficient enough to be giant leap for mankind)
