      Hi fellow SketchUp'ers,

(Perhaps I should start making it clear that I have asked and been given permission to post this job opportunity here by the SCF Management...)

I'm seeking a person who have great skills when it comes to designing and drawing some fish (preferably in vector format), but it could also be high detailed 3D models...

I've attached an example of what we're searching for...

It could be somebody here who have the skills, but it could also be someone in here who would know a friend...

If you're interested, know someone who might be or if you want to know more about this opportunity, you're welcome to send me a PM...

      Thanks for your time...

      Cheers

        Frederik,

        Why not use photo's?

We're perfectly aware of sites like iStockphpto, but we want our own designs...

People who have an interest in fishing can enter a website, upload an image of themselves (I.e. a photo of themselves and the fish they have caught), select template with a fish as frame/background and get it printed on t-shirts, mugs, mousepads, canvas and alike, which they can order...

          Yes...

I've seen some really good fish at TurboSquid...
These could be used... I suppose it's even possible according to the EULA, where you position them best suitable and then render them...

Well, I've done quite a few natural history illustrations...including fish...for publishers like Heineman and Penguin, but unfortunately I don't have the time to do that kind of stuff any more.
Have you taken a look at the free models at Toucan web? It looks like you'd be ok with the EULA.

Thanks for the link, Alan... πŸ‘
Unfortunately they don't seem to have particular high detail, but I'll give it a try...

Actually, that's not far off the mark, Mike. One of the side-effects of being an illustrator is that by the time you reach retirement age, you've usually amassed enough reference material to open a second-hand book store. I've got a stack of National Geographics that's worth a small fortune. πŸ˜„
