@solo said: Nice scene. I like the reflection of myself looking out. Cool plants. Thought you'd like them. http://solosplace.com/3Dgarden.aspx for anyone wondering I like the refelction one too. Sometimes the ones with no commercial use like that one turn out best...

Wow, where did you get those plants? I would love to find some nice 3d plants like that.

@dorfpunk said: $700??? wow that's nearly as much as my computer. Formfonts - Is it worth it? For me, I don't use 2d stuff at all because I do walkthrough/flythrough things for everything I do and they look weird for that so high quality 3d plants are kind of neccesary. Formfonts looks good and I'll probably get it but still the selection alone is far from sufficient. Where else should I look?

I agree with the background and the house. Background too close/too big. There are some big trees on behind the house and I was trying to get that to work but I think I over did it for sure. As for texture mapping the wall - assuming this means giving it a material that works properly - I really struggled with this because of the shape of the wall. That is - beacause the wall curves so much and varies in height from 500mm to 1200mm I had problems modelling it in a way that didn't mess too much with the material I put on it. THere is a ctually supposed to be a double bullnose capping on it but I couldn't get that to work at all. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

And to give proper credits, (I think) it was Chris Fullmer's sky creation shared back on the old @Last Forums. And yes, certainly it's kind of "refreshing" to see some native SU output nowadays when we are spoilt with the abundance of rendering apps and rendered models!

Nice work on the rendering, I hope you are getting on ok with Shaderlight. There are some videos on the website which show different aspects of Shaderlight http://www.artvps.com/index.php/tutorials/shaderlight. If you do get stuck please email support@artvps.com and the support team will be able to give you a hand. With regards to the glass, I would lighten the colour of the glass material in SketchUp. If the glass has 2 layers to represent a thickness this will make it appear darker in the render. Hope this helps Martin
